Stats updates

Post by Minor »

Just looking at the statistics for Round 28. It seems that the missing games have been processed, however the fixtures rearranged from that week and played this week ie LIV v MID and WH v CHE have been added to Round 28 as opposed to Round 29 when they were played!

Will e-mail them now but it will probably help if others bring it up as well.

The stats from the LIV v MID, MU v SU + WH v CHE have been added to the Round 28 stats instead of Round 29.

These matches were originally scheduled for Round 28. My guess is Fanball didn't move those fixtures to be classed as Round 29, so when the stats updates were resent for Round 28, those matches were included in that Round.

Some updates seem to be happening now, I think from previous rounds.

Now going to be a real headache trying to figure out what is still outstanding.

The current round at least is still not correct (Wednesday's games anyway haven't been updated).

Oh right, I see your point now.
Well, that is not correct then so I hope they will be sorting that out.

If it is this hard to explain it on Fiso then unfortunately I think Fanball have no chance! :o The response to my e-mail suggests that they didn't really understand.

I know, sorry, just been confused now given the amount of rounds that have problems, I don't know which round is which anymore.

Checking their round fixture list I see they have included it in Round 28 as you say.

However, they have always in the past stated that points will be awarded in the round in which the game was actually played which would be Round 29. Will be on the phone again tonight to confirm this, I hope I have a copy of that email clarifying this from earlier rounds where the same situation arose.

I'm pretty p*ssed as I had Gerrard on double points for Round 29 and didn't have him at all in Round 28.

So to summarise the Arsenal v Man City match has been added to Round 21, and the Liverpool v Mid / West Ham v Chelsea matches have been added to Round 28. And since Round 28 has been rescored teams with those players in Round 28 will have wrongly been credited those points!

Found that email which clearly  stated:
'Fantasy points will only be awarded when the actual game is played and all points will be associated with the round when the actual game was played'

Jeez, that email was confusing when they first sent it although up until now they have always allocated the points to the round during which the game was actually played.

I have sent this, let me know if it makes sense?

*************************************************************
I don't think you have understood the problem. There were 3 matches played on Tuesday/Wednesday that were rearranged and therefore were originally scheduled in other Rounds. However they haven't been placed in Round 29 when they were played.

Arsenal v Man City from Round 21 must be moved to Round 29.
Liverpool v Middlesbro + West Ham v Chelsea from Round 28 need to moved to Round 29.

Then Rounds 28 and 29 will need to be rescored in order to correct this mistake.

It makes as much sense as possible I guess although I think you probably need to point out that up until this round, that is what they have always done.

In any case, I am going to ring them tonight as it has pretty much screwed up what slim chances I had left of winning anything in the Freebie comp at least.

So apart from the above, has everything else been sorted, do you reckon?

I think so. All of the stats are there, although 3 matches are in the wrong round. I don't know if the teams have been rolled back for the lockdowns, since I can't verify that with any of my teams.

For the scores to be correct, all the following should be included in Round 29:

Arsenal-Man City
Man U-Sheff Utd
Liverpool-Middlesboro
West Ham-Chelsea

What about the ManU-Sheff Utd match, has that been allocated to Round 28 or Round 29 as looking at the Fixture List, it says Round 28 but it should be counted towards Round 29 following the same logic?

yeh i belive it should as it was done under the round 29 time frame i belive.

If they argue that they havent added the points, look into stats for round 28 and you will see that gerrard has scored two goals, and those points should be in round 29.

Given that Arsenal-Man City scores have been allocated to Round 21, do you know if prizes have already been issued for that Round yet?

Also, what about the ManU-Sheff U match, do you know if scores for that have been allocated to Round 28 or Round 29, it appears to me that they have been issued for Round 28 looking at my teams but they should be allocated to Round 29 by my reckoning.

I think Fanball are 6 hours behind so you might have a better chance after 3pm here.

The number quoted in the FAQ for contacting them is
0207 993 22 41 which is a UK number (although you never get an answer from it).

There is another number quoted in this forum which is a US number and would cost you a fair amount during the day, I would say. (I will be ringing it tonight as my calls are free to US with SkyTalk).

Just emailed them as below:

Hi, Not sure if you have updated all the scores as yet but the following problems still exist: The following fixtures which were played on Tuesday April 17th and Wednesday April 18th should all be included in the scores for Round 29. Arsenal-Man City Man Utd-Sheff Utd Liverpool-Middlesboro West Ham-Chelsea Blackburn-Watford Round 29 closed on Saturday April 14th at 14.55 BST.
In every other round this season, any mid-week games have been allocated to the round in which they were actually played, these games were played during Round 29 and the scores should be allocated to that round. 'Fantasy points will only be awarded when the actual game is played and all points will be associated with the round when the actual game was played.'
This means that points should be associated with Round 29 when the actual game was played.
Also, in the rules of the game: 'The average duration and timings of any particular round will include all games that occur between Saturday and Friday.'
If you can rectify this outstanding problem. Thanks, Paul
