TFF chit chat 4th and 5th February
TUESDAY 4TH FEBRUARY
FOURTH ROUND – REPLAY
Liverpool 19:45 Shrewsbury
The first of the two Tuesday games sees Shrewsbury travelling to Anfield to take on a youthful Liverpool side. Klopp has already stated that he will field a team of kids so don’t expect (m)any TFF points in this one. Shrewsbury might fancy their chances here.
Oxford Utd 20:05 Newcastle
Tuesday’s late match features Oxford versus Newcastle. The first match was nil-nil but Stevie Bruce fielded a strong looking team and I would expect the same again this evening. Oxford might expect home advantage to give them some hope of a Cup upset.
WEDNESDAY 5TH FEBRUARY
FOURTH ROUND - REPLAY
Tottenham 19:45 Southampton
Just the one match on Wednesday and it’s an all Prem affair between Spurs and Southampton. Both teams fielded strong sides in the first game and there is no reason to expect anything different here. New signings who were not registered for the first match are unable to play today.
Notes –
There are only 4 games at the weekend (featuring none of the teams involved in the replays):
SATURDAY 8TH FEBRUARY
Everton 12:30 Crystal Palace
Brighton 17:30 Watford

"New signings who were not registered for the first match are unable to play today."
Hadn't twigged that when I almost bought Bergwijn for his bonus games. Makes me slightly less miffed at missing out on his goal. Thanks!

Wouldn't have tonight's game without Shrewsbury's luck that VAR wasn't in place for the first game.morganb wrote:Lucky ol' LiVARpool...

There's still hope, hoppy. According to the BBC:happyhoppy wrote: ↑05 Feb 2020, 17:05 See Alli who I brought back at the weekend is now showing as crocked.
Dele Alli has "a chance" of featuring in Tottenham's FA Cup fourth-round replay, says Spurs boss Jose Mourinho.
Spurs' site says he's being "assessed" ahead of tonight's game.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Sort of worked. He is fit enough for bench duty.
2 pretty strong teams. Well, I mean, strong for Spurs and Southampton.

How secure is Tanganga's place? Who's he keeping out? Seems to be starting and at 2.1 seems a bargain enabler who could get the odd cs.

You should be proud of how your ex players have contributed. Or did Liverpool fans not teach you how to respect your ex players at the weekend?happyhoppy wrote:And this is why LFC winning the title is gonna be unbearable for the rest of civilisationmurf wrote:Sort of worked.
