Was just about to post the same thing - he was lucky with the second as the keeper played it straight to him. Did have a chance for a third but fluffed it. Wasn't really that noticeable except for the goals though. He played the second half only so not sure if this any indicator of his chances of starting but Luiz only played last 45 too.

Heaton off to Villa, which means Pope should step up at Burnley at £3.0m (unless Hart has a miraculous return to form). The best of the budget keepers at that price?

No reason why it shouldn't. Saving up to 1.5m - admittedly you could save more in defence.Mins wrote:GK as a enabler? not sure that works too well usually tbh

Re: Enablers - 19/20
I'm a Wednesday fan, so it pains me to say this, but I think Sheffield United will surprise a few people this year. Really very good side indeed, and the most clean sheets in the Champ last year. Wilder is a very good manager indeed.
Would be very surprised if some of their players don't become obvious bargains, and I have a sneaky feeling they might be the source of a very good value defence.

Guilbert, Villa fans have been raving about him in preseason. Marauding RB 2.0m. Massive bandwagon potential.

I read that Aurier has had hand surgery and there’s no return date mentioned. One to watch maybe.AdamBeee wrote: ↑01 Aug 2019, 01:15still no clearer whether him or Aurier are preferredKentish Womble wrote: ↑31 Jul 2019, 21:55Foyth badly injured tonight. How about McNeil at Burnley £3.0m, will start each game and solid 3.5 PPG last year?

Seen Lanzini in most teams on here but a lot of West Ham fans aren't putting him in their starting lineups and feel it's a toss up between him and Antonio. Saw some say they think Antonio will be picked against the bigger teams.

What's the view on Chelsea centre backs this year? With Luiz gone, there does seem to be scope for a bargain there... Zouma 2.9, Christensen 2.8... One of them partnering Rudiger I presume?

Trossard at Brighton looks an interesting prospect if he's a starter, and I'm very interested to see how Maupay is used, as he could be a steal at 4.0. Quality player

Re: Enablers - 19/20
Chelsea will start the season with Zouma and Christensen; Rudiger is injured and Tomori is not ready yet.
Azpilicueta could play at centre back, but James is also injured, so there's nobody else to play RB.
So there should be some bargains in the Chelsea back line. The only downside is that they've been leaking like a sieve in pre-season! This may improve once Kante is fit.

Any West Ham fans on here shed anymore light on this? I know he's had a brilliant pre-season and was shocked to see lots of their fans not putting him in their predicted lineups.

Re: Enablers - 19/20
The consensus with Maupay is that he is the Murray replacement with Locadia and Tossard playing wide of him in an attacking 433 - Potter is an attacking manager, allegedly etc.Themonkey thatstolexmas wrote: ↑08 Aug 2019, 20:55 Trossard at Brighton looks an interesting prospect if he's a starter, and I'm very interested to see how Maupay is used, as he could be a steal at 4.0. Re: Enablers - 19/20
My final dilemma now is Lanzini or Trossard. Been reading about Trossard and a lot of Brighton fans think he'll be their main man, on set pieces etc. They think they'll be set up a lot more attacking than previous seasons aswell. I think Lanzini will be more bit-part for West Ham with lots of competition in midfield and attacking areas. Leaning towards Trossard at the moment, excellent early fixtures aswell...

Brighton have also just signed Mooy on a season long loan and probably likely to get involved in set pieces once established.
