TFF chit chat 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th April
FRIDAY 5TH APRIL
Southampton 20:00 Liverpool
The game week continues with a Friday Night Fixture featuring Southampton versus Liverpool. Liverpool lie one point and one place behind City at the top of the table with Bobby Firmino having discovered some form in recent matches. Southampton have been doing enough to keep their head above water since the new manager arrived.
SATURDAY 6TH APRIL
Bournemouth 15:00 Burnley
No early Saturday game this week so straight into the 3 o'clocks, the first of which sees Burnley off to the South Coast to take on Bournemouth. Burnley are still dicing with relegation but fortunately there are three others teams worse than them, and they have McNeil. Bournemouth are comfortable in mid-table so I guess we could say that they are on the beach already...
Huddersfield 15:00 Leicester
Next up, Leicester are the visitors to newly relegated Uddersfield. The change of manager has worked wonders for the Foxes and Tielemans has been quietly going about his business. Uddersfield are down, they just weren't able to match their first season in the Prem or score enough goals.
Newcastle 15:00 Crystal Palace
For all you property programme fans out there it's ‘Castle v Palace next. Newcastle are a point behind Palace and will be hoping for a decent showing today. In midweek, Palace made history by becoming the first team to lose at Spurs new ground. Zaha has been quiet recently.
Man City 17:30 Brighton - FA Cup SEMI-FINAL
Saturday's late game comes to you from Spurs old ground. At Wembley there's an FA Cup semi-final featuring Manchester City against Brighton. It's hokey cokey time! City are likely to be without Aguero for this game but they didn't miss him much against Cardiff. Brighton should give it a good go today as they are probably safe enough in the league.
SUNDAY 7TH APRIL
Everton 14:05 Arsenal
The first of Sunday's two games has Arsenal travelling to Goodison to play Everton. The Gunners have been going about their business in a quiet yet orderly fashion. Everton have been eeking out a few good results too recently so this might be a surprisingly good game.
Watford 16:00 Wolves FA Cup SEMI-FINAL
Well, well, well. We're on our way to Wembley for Watford v Wolves. Again these are a couple of fairly evenly matched sides with Wolves having just recorded a morale boosting win over Manchester United. Watford are just behind Wolves in the League but have scored a few more goals. Pens anyone?
MONDAY 8TH APRIL
Chelsea 20:00 West Ham
Me ol' China - it is a London derby for the MNF. Chelsea welcome West Ham to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea won in midweek and are still challenging for the top 4. Giroud played and scored against Brighton - will Sarri keep the faith? West Ham’S recent results - WLWLWL. Win today?

Re: TFF chit chat 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th April
Worth noting that the poor timing of the sunday games (1:55 apart) means only 1 flange and no semi team news.

You put your Aguero inPep Guardiola wrote:
"Almost everybody is fit. I try every game to think about the next one but always focus on trying to win. Everybody has to help us not just Benjamin Mendy. He alone cant help us with that challenge."
But what about Sergio Aguero, who limped off against Fulham?
"Aguero is travelling," adds Guardiola.
you take your Aguero out
in, out, in, out
and shake it all about
You do the Aguero hokey cokey
and you turn around
that's what transfers are all about!

Really? I didn't read that as he's playing/fit at all. More cryptic to keep us all on our toes I think but who knows?!chickennuggets wrote: ↑05 Apr 2019, 13:52 Looks like Aguero is fit again.

Suspect the best you can hope for is that he makes the bench.
Travelling doesn’t necessarily mean he’s in the squad.

Unlikely that an "injured" superstar travels without at least making the bench IMO.

Yeah, I’d expect him on the bench. I largely kept him so would be great if he could make up for missing Cardiff goalfest.

1-1 with 15 minutes to go.
It's funny how the media works isn't it .... if Liverpool fail to score then the race is over - if they do find a winner then 'it's destiny' and 'their name is on the title' .... when neither is necessarily true.

They just toy with the opposition and viewers, giving them leads, giving them equalisers. All just for fun....brencarr wrote:Never a doubt eh Murf?

In case anybody missed this weekend's TFF Preview e-mail, Marcus Rashford has a 75% chance of playing.
