TFF chit chat 30th and 31st March and 1st April
SATURDAY 30TH MARCH
Fulham 12:30 Man City
Saturday's early match sees high-flying Manchester City travelling to South London to take on lowly Fulham. Sterling put in a sterling performance for England and will be hopeful of being in similar form against the second-to-bottom club. Fulham are a long way adrift of safety.
Brighton 15:00 Southampton
The first of the 3pm games is a South Coast derby between Brighton and Southampton. Brighton got through to the FA Cup semi-final by the skin of their teeth against lower league opposition and will have to perform better against a Southampton side who are only 3 points behind them. Ward and Prowse are the in-form players for the Saints.
Burnley 15:00 Wolves
Next up sees Wolverhampton Wanderers travelling to Turf Moor to play Burnley. Burnley looked like they were on the up around the turn of the year but have recently slipped down to just above the relegation zone. Wolves currently occupy the best of the rest position and Jimenez has been a revelation this season.
Crystal Palace 15:00 Huddersfield
To Selhurst Park next where Uddersfield are the visitors. Palace have been better away from home recently but would hope to beat the bottom club, Uddersfield. The Terriers have started to show some fighting spirit recently but it is likely to be too little too late.
Leicester 15:00 Bournemouth
Bournemouth are on their travels this week, off to visit Leicester at the King Power. The Foxes have really benefitted from a new manager bounce with Jamie Vardy looking like his old self recently. Bournemouth have Wilson fit again and Josh King scored for Norway in mid-week so there are likely to be goals in this game.
Man Utd 15:00 Watford
Manchester United versus Watford is next on the list. Man Utd were having a bit of a wobble before the IB so hopefully they manage to get back on track today especially after the appointment of OGS. Watford made it through in the FA Cup and will be hopeful of continuing their decent form today.
West Ham 17:30 Everton
Saturday's late fixture sees Everton up against West Ham. The Hammers sit a couple of points ahead of Everton in the table so will be hoping for a good result here. Hernandez scored a brace in a thrilling match last time out. The Toffees are rather unpredictable and rely on Richarlison and Siggy for goals.
SUNDAY 31ST MARCH
Cardiff 14:05 Chelsea
Just the two matches on Sunday, the first of which features a relegation threatened Cardiff taking on a Europe chasing Chelsea at the Cardiff Stadium in Cardiff. Cardiff have the opportunity to get out of the relegation zone today, depending on Saturday's results. Chelsea could draw level with Arsenal with a win here.
Liverpool 16:30 Tottenham
Sunday's second fixture is probably the weekend's biggest match as it features two of the top four, Liverpool and Spurs. This match could go a long way to deciding where the title ends up. Both Mane and Kane are in blistering form.
MONDAY 1ST APRIL
Arsenal 20:00 Newcastle
The Monday night fixture is a game between Arsenal and Newcastle. Arsenal have managed to stay inside the top 4 thanks to a couple of decent results recently. Newcastle are also in OK form with Rondon and Perez combining well.
There seem to be a smattering of games during next week so I'll do a separate write-up for them on Tuesday.

Re: TFF chit chat 30th and 31st March and 1st April
At least the footie calendar hasn't changed. As set out, we have left all that European malarkey behind us by March 29 and are back to our plucky English league (will we have Wexit before May is out?).
I'll be starting the weekend by cheering on the stroppy, ex-Liverpool, talented but greedy attacker who only plays well when he wants to.
Come on Ryan Babel and stuff it to those Citeh types.

Thanks Morgan - God I hate International breaks, even when England rack up an aggregate 10-1 win.
Haha .... there may be a slip or two before the end of the season Murf but I doubt it will come today (yes fate .... in your face!)
I don't like to mention the the 'other' place but c'mon triple captain Aguerooooo!

Re: TFF chit chat 30th and 31st March and 1st April
I'm thinking taking TAA out this morning in my Liverpool block team for Laporte!!! With so few transfers left wouldn't normally waste one on such a defender tinkering move, but with TTA pos injury, Liverpool unlikely to keep many cleanies in next few games, City's easy fixtures and City still in the cup, it's tempting me!
Any words of wisdom against lads? This team only has 5 transfers left and chasing a 20 point lead in a mini league.

I’ve already got Laporte but just swapped him out for Brooks at Bournemouth. Great run in for them and frees up plenty of cash.

Decent shout personally wouldn't risk it with only 5 transfers left. TAA will likely start he's been in full training since Thursday.buttonphobic wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 09:18 I'm thinking taking TAA out this morning in my Liverpool block team for Laporte!!! I’m thinking the same thing - as well as a potential switch from Salah to Hazard. I’m a Liverpool fan so the more I can scud City and use my usual FF luck to boost Liverpool the better. I will sacrifice my FF team for the greater good.buttonphobic wrote: ↑30 Mar 2019, 09:18 I'm thinking taking TAA out this morning in my Liverpool block team for Laporte!!! Bilva (Aguero)
Very early days but Fulham look petrified of City and this could get messy.
