As discussed elsewhere, Jota at Wolves is possibly a misclassified forward down as a £3.2m MID. Douglas (2.7) in their defence has been tipped too.

Paging hoppy to the enabler thread it's deja vu all over again from last summer with Jack Stephens (2.6). Started the season well, fell out of favour but from memory came back under Hughes and picked up a goal or two. I'd expect Soton to be a fair bit better this season.

Perhaps not in the mega enabler bracket but aren't some of Burnley's defenders surprisingly cheap?

I know they are in that Europa thingy but still pretty cheap.

I am not looking at Masuaka right now, brings too many bad memories, last season I put him in my best team and then straightaway he got a red card and a six game ban for spitting.

Elyounoussi seems a bit overpriced for a unknown player and plays for a team that has struggled to score goals. I don't know much about him but would have interested if he was at 2.8m.

Need a couple of decent cheapies, the strikers seem quite expensive.

WRT Saints:-

Stephens is a steer clear for me ATM. We've just bought Vestergaard for £18m so you have to think he will be numero uno CB choice. After that we have Hoedt, Yoshida, Stephens and Bednarek. That's a lot of uncertainty and much will depend on formation as if we play 3 CBs then that narrows the choice down a tad. My educated guess is Vestergaard, Hoedt, Yoshida. I'm really interested in Vestegaard's price. £3m or less and he's great value.

Keeper should be McCarthy and he's cheap at £3m too. We bought Gunn from MC but I'd think he'd be behind Mc carthy at the start of the season. Expecting Forster to be sold if any club is mad enough to buy him? Karius replacement anyone?.....

The wingback spots should be Bertrand and Soares. Targett is one to watch out at £2.5m for if he plays LM when we play 442 rather than 352. Also a possibility he may go back out on loan like he was last year at Fulham.

Stand out VFM picks elsewhere Redmond at £2.8m is interesting as he came back strong under Hughes and our two new signings should get plenty of minutes in Armstrong at £2.9m and Elyounoussin at £3.1 probably the greater risk of rotation early on as he settles in. JWP is likely to be rotated too much to be value.

Austin at £4.8m looks tempting if he stays fit but probably better value elsewhere.

Elyounoussi had champions league football last season with Basel and scored against Man City.

Wood could prove to be value for money as he only played for half a season. He could quite possibly get 150-200 points which puts him performing well above his 4.5m price.

Mings - 2.4m - Bournemouth have trialled a 3-4-3 in their first game, any Bournemouth fans out there think he'll be starting?

Souare - 2.3m - Was out most of the season wasn't he? Be interesting to see the friendlies and if he gets ahead of Van Aanholt.

Do you still get part clean sheets if the player comes on and the team doesn’t concede while he’s on?

Used to be called an O’Shea?

If so I think I have one...

Liverpool's starting keeper?

before you laugh...

1. Karius had the best PPG of any regular keeper in the game towards the end of last season (not sure if it stayed that way)
2. Just £2.6m!

Yep, Danny Ward rumoured to be first choice. Subject to etc etc....

I've got Karius pencilled into a couple of Liverpool semi-blocks waiting for the bargain keeper to arrive. :)

Made another howler in the pre-season game at Tranmere, can't see him starting the season, especially now Liverpool have bid for Allison

Was the howler actually in the match, or in the arm up, but in the background of an interview?

The one in the warm up was against Chester, the one vs Tranmere was during the game and led to a goal

I remember Zeegelaar playing quite advanced and scoring some points before he got a red card and then injured. At 2.4m defender he may be worth a punt in a back 5 particularly if Richarlison leaves. Decent fixtures to start too

Is Douglas at Wolves any good (never heard of him TBH)? Likely starter? Any of the Wolves lot with potential for goals or KCs?? Bit risky with 5 Wolves defenders on that list!

PS My earlier tip of Danny Ward may yet come good. Wrong club but.....
