Seems there's less interest in the World Cup here than a lot of non-football topics, serious FF players clearly really resent the international breaks, though a few more days' notice for this competition might have got some more in!

International FISODAS got a reasonable number earlier in the year, though was more hassle than it was worth to run it just as a "friendly" week, especially as I had a couple of people playing silly bigger after agreeing to enter, so not sure if I'll ever do it again. Maybe one for the World Cup itself if I have time to run it?

Yes most fisoers seem to go into hibernation for about 10 days.

I know there is a bit of apathy towards the qualifiers in general these days, but to me international football always has some interest and even being english still want the other uk teams to qualify and always also follow the other groups and hoping the big guns fail and the minnows like Iceland get through.

Yeah, the first year of the qualifying cycle is pretty tedious but at this stage it does get interesting, particularly when big teams are struggling to qualify and/or the other home nations are in the mix.

Holland are pretty much done, and Argentina, Italy and Portugal could yet be sat at home watching Iceland take on Wales on TV next summer!
