As a Liverpool fan I'd have taken 50 million to get rid of the toxic brand destroyer. I think getting full whack for him after the debacle at the World Cup is good business.
Mind you Suarez knows how to score goals, The other Luiz will certainly knows how to give them away.

Good business in a financial sense perhaps, as was Spurs selling Bale and Newcastle selling Cabaye. But the virtual impossibility of finding a like for like replacement makes all of these bad business in football terms.WilBert wrote:As a Liverpool fan I'd have taken 50 million to get rid of the toxic brand destroyer. For me, there is no price on the toxic reputational damage he's caused Liverpool.

Re: Best bit of transfer business this summer
For outbound sales Luiz wins hands down. Although he had a good tournament until the fateful semi final. Suarez, possibly second although his departure creates a much bigger problem for Liverpool in replacing him.
For inbound buys, Alexis Sanchez potentially looks the pick so far. Although to be fair there has not been a great deal to beat. Perhaps Fabregas next best but as always we are just guessing until they actually play.
Perhaps the 3 most significant moves are Managerial. LVG to United, Pocchettino to Spurs and Koeman to Southampton.
Still 7 weeks of transfers left though.....

You don't agree that some of your fans have already got a toxic reputation?sted wrote:I don't get this Giggs11....care to elaborate?Giggs11 wrote:Don't worry WilBert, some of your fans will keep up the good work ...
