I thought the "pub" one was for general WC chat, now it's become fantasy game specific and there's a new one here... slightly confused :?

Adrian Chiles already talking about how good looking Fabio Cannavaro is. Didn't we have to endure the same pish when they had Leonardo as guest pundit the last time?

CRINGE.

I'm suspicious of that picture ball, are we sure it's not the ship from Flight of the Navigator?

Edgy 2-1 to the hosts...

ITV coverage fail #2, the score/clock box - large, intrusive and looks messy over certain backgrounds.

I like the score box, something a bit different.

Croatia making the sharp moves so far.

It is nicely different but too big and even then the actual score isn't that clear. The plug is too big basically.

Agree with murf, it's far too big and why not a black background so it's more easily seen. Why ITV SPORT as I know it's sport.

Home team fix. Neymar should have seen red and goes on to score.....

Brazil shouldn't need help like that.

Brazil will need to improve markedly to win. Wonder how much of an average performance is down to nerves/pressure?

Croatia are unlucky to be behind and with better refereeing wouldn't be imo

The second kind of mitigates the first

Argentina to have at least one sent off in the last group game?

Neymar's 22, and already has as many goals for Brazil as Jairzinho and Ronaldinho managed in their entire careers...

While you're waiting for the wise one to answer, let me chime in...

Any defence with David Luiz in it is a liability. Yes, he's technically very good and potentially a great player, but if he continues to gift the opposition chances, the best teams will capitalise and punish. Tonight's mistake is not the first we'll see. Also, how can you trust a defence with full backs like Marcelo and Alves? Two guys that wouldn't look out of place as wingers - it's not that they aren't decent at the back, but my feeling is that there's always the option of the counter attack down the flanks with these two rampaging forward. Julio Cesar didn't exactly look 100% comfortable tonight either.

On the contrary, Luiz is so attacking that he can easily pick up points going forward, as well as the full backs. I don't expect Mexico or Cameroon to give them much hassle in the other two games, so they might be worth keeping now.

It's a conundrum, right enough.

I'd like to see that boiled down to a percentage of goals per game in only competetive matches for a fairer comparison.

It's quite a stat, regardless.

To be fair my 6-year old lad said it would be 3-1. I went for 2-0 so no doubt he'll be saying he told me so after school. If only he were an octopus...

Wouldn't be too worried by Brazil's iffy performance - half the team were in tears after the national anthem so the emotion/pressure must have been huge. Agree they take chances at the back but I'd be more concerned by Hulk and Fred who did nothing in the game - if you're going to be attacking normally you need your attackers to be good and they can't just rely on Neymar and Oscar.

Interested to see the other contenders now - not totally convinced by any of them pre-tournament but have a feeling people might be writing off Spain a bit too readily.

Louis van Gaal's head is extraordinary. It must weigh as much as some of the Spanish players
