Normally Hargreaves Landsdowne site has 10 year interactive share charts. However, BB were part nationalised in 2008, so suspect that any share prices pre-2008 relate to a listing that no longer exists so may not show up.

Thanks unc.si. I am a HL customer - phoned them with no luck. I may have to resort to my case filled with ancient tax and share papers to at least confirm my selling price.

Your best bet is possibly Sharedata. They should be able to tell you the price of any quoted share on any specific date, during the period in which you are interested.

However there is a charge of £15/share/date for one to four requests. For between 4 and 12 requests its £60, and after that £5 per request. Tel 01403 271 170.

Most of the free so called helpful web sites probably wont even recognise the name nowadays, 5 years after it went bust/into public ownership. As Santander now own the remains (I think), they might be able to help in theory, in practice the odds are just over zero, I'd have thought.

I'll pass on £15 thanks. Apparently LSE will do it for £5...I'm too tight to phone the 0844 number (SayNoTo0870 doesn't have alternative) provided by BB successor company.

Was also going to suggest seeing if any of the campaign groups were still active (or had e-mail address for a member who would have been anal enough to keep the data)

According to our CGT software at work, I have a few first dealing prices after Scrip Issues which may be of use :-

4/5/07 - 450 pence per share

5/10/07 - 302.73 pps

2/5/08 - 167.382 pps

Negligible Value from 29/9/08
