So OscarBravo, you have never in your life ever enjoyed anything?
You have never ever sat there and said good movie, good book, good meal, good beer or anything?

I no longer favour those earthy beers that you so delight in, Spiny. But if you're buying...Spinynorman wrote:What!!!
No Tanglefoot, no Waggledance, no Bishops Finger, no Rigwelter.
What's it all about?

It's the likes of Rigwelter that taste just a little bit like mud. Waggledance is quite light and fruity with a hint of honey.Glyn1972 wrote:I no longer favour those earthy beers that you so delight in, Spiny. But if you're buying...Spinynorman wrote:What!!!

Your comment "drink it get drunk htfu" sort of indicates that the point of beer is too get drunk rather than enjoy it.OscarBravo wrote:When did I say I hadn't ever enjoyed anything?Surprised wrote:So OscarBravo, you have never in your life ever enjoyed anything?

You may as well just eat Mcdonalds as it fills you up rather than eat and also enjoy your food......watch a movie as it passes the time rather than watch a movie to enjoy.

Even so top 20 beers, give me a break, I couldn't produce a top 20. For it to have any creedence you would need to have 50 or so in the frame wouldn't it.

Re: Top 20 Beers
I'm not much of a beer drinker but the 3 beers I like are Coopers Pale Ale ,Carlton Draught & free beer.
Here's a great big expensive ad for Carlton Draught

Do they still do the gorgeous Cascade in Oz?
From my experience VB would be the worst beer in Oz if wasn't for the shiiite that calls itself Tooheys.......

Re: Top 20 Beers
There is indeed Golden Bear! and a mighty fine beer it is too!
Also, another fave of mine out here is Coopers Pale Ale...
And yes, we started drinking VB when we arrived here and soon realised it was this pishy drink that was the reason for our stinking headaches!! yuck! no more VB!
Tooheys on the other hand is almost quoffable...?! ever so slightly better in my opinion than VB!

Re: Top 20 Beers
Can't tell you disappointed I was with Australia's beers when I first went there, and since. VB is tasteless and watery.
The only ones I've really liked over there are Cascade, and there was one called Blue Trounge, not sure if that's spelt correctly.
My top 20 beers list is:
=1 Budweiser Budvar (not the rubbish American namesake, who frankly isn't fit to share a name with such a magnificent brew)
=1 Peroni
3 Tsingtao (not sure if I've spelt that right either, it's pronounced 'Ching-dow')
Everything else is nowhere

Bringing some amusing drinks over to England soon just for the joke.
Ch'ti will be given out with amusement. Quite a pleasant lager.
and a bottle of wine will be given to the selected few, Faggots Derrier.

Re: Top 20 Beers
Now I've developed a taste for real ale ( as opposed to imaginary ale I suppose) I have found two to be near perfection.
In order of suppability:
1 - Fursty Ferret (spelling is correct)
2 - Landlord - Timothy Taylor Brewery.
Well worth a little sip.
