Started playing this a few days ago & really enjoying it so far, haven't experienced any bugs so far but I'm only @ level 9.

Re: Skyrim
It is really, really good...played 'Oblivion' for a while and I just couldn't get into it but 'Skyrim' is turning out to be very addictive indeed. Definite contender for 2011's game of the year based on what I've seen so far.
Regarding the bugs, I have heard that the PS3 version suffers the most from these so maybe worth looking into that a bit further before making the decision to purchase ...

Re: Skyrim
Just started a few days ago, seems like an absolute cracker of a game so far! Very addictive, abosrbing and time consuming, the missus isn't going to be happy
Some early tips:
1) Taking a follower on quests makes life much easier.
2) If you have follower who can also train you, you can take the money back off them once you have paid for the traning.

Re: Skyrim
This is why I don't buy new games. I recently got a chance over the break to play AC:Brotherhood and it was massively engaging but I know I won't get more than a few hours a week to play Brink and Red Faction Armageddon let alone a game like AC4 which I now know would take a year to complete with the time I get. This also means that playing online is a nightmare unless I can avoid the hoards of addicts/students/unemployed.Beerfuelledman wrote:Fellow work gamers claiming this is the best game they have ever played. Re: Skyrim
Another tip - find a boooby trap, e.g. spikes on the floor to damage yourself (I'm at Orphan Rock), heal yourself and your restoration flies up, I went up from 30 - 40 in no time.

Re: Skyrim
I havn't completed Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth yet which I bought as a replacement for Red Alert 2 which kept crash. Don't think I'll but another game until that is complete - happy to play one game at a time, very slowly. Most of my computer gaming time is spent at Catan Online World and Brettspielwelt.DrBunker wrote:This is why I don't buy new games.

Re: Skyrim
i got Skyrim yesterday and i really am at a struggle to work out why its so hyped. The control system sucks and it takes ages to get to a destination.
I will keep playing and praying i will get into into it ....

Re: Skyrim
The more you explore the countryside the more map markers you can get. Once you get them you can fast travel to a destination near to where you want to get to. You can also hire a cart near to most towns which go to other towns.

Both The Witcher 2 & Dark Souls are better games imo. Skyrims still a good buy though. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning looks interesting.

I would like to know if you're playing on PC & using any mods? I've seen some very fun looking ones such as Jedi Lightsabers & Deadmau5 mouse hat etc.

Re: Skyrim
No I hadn't
There's some really good ideas in there, some of which should have been in the game from the beginning imo like Spears & Mounted Combat.
Others I would just put in the mod category like Assassins Vision & Spell Combinations, they don't fit in with the main game.

Re: Skyrim
Loved the game i have just finished the main quest and only have four side quest left...a bit gutted but i must just say even on a higher level setting the game is FAR too easy and alduian is far far far far too easy to kill...plus the ending Leaves a lot to be desired its poop...Plus i cant see the point in the marriage option you cant bang her and you cant have kids with her plus she annoyed the eff out of me when she kept thanking me for getting the claw for her...so i killed her...did it hurt love...
the option of divorce would have been good cause once you kill your wife you can remarry some sort of glitch as far as i can see
apart from that great game...now can anyone recomend a good RPG for the Xbox 360....i was thinking maybe fallout 3

Re: Skyrim
What level are you playing it on? I have it on adept (which is the middle one). If you have it on the easy level then it will be very easy to beat the main dragon.
Marriage? I haven't got to that part yet, but I am playing the game as a female, so it's not that appealing to me. lol
