So after all my tinkering it looks like Noble is going to start after all?

Yeah, I already changed him back (Nolan->Noble), every other predicted lineup besides here(and maybe some others) are predicting him to start too.ctibbits wrote:So after all my tinkering it looks like Noble is going to start after all?

I see winger Matt Jarvis is likely to sign (for a stupidly large fee!)

1. How guaranteed is he to start? (I already own him in a weird auction/squad game!)
2. Who would drop out if he starts?

Re: West Ham 2012/13 General Chat & Starting X1 Thread
I'm pretty sure he's nailed on to start from here on out - he is the missing link for sam. we're set up to be heavily reliant on dead balls and crosses - up until now that's meant that Matt Taylor has played more game time (a wide midfielder on the wing) than he should have, at the expense of other players who he would most likely have preferred... but Jarvis is a crossing/dead ball specialist as so many newspaper articles have been going on about over the summer.
anyway with big sam he sets up depending on how the opposition is going to play, thus the uncertainty and variation in the lineup... but my reckoning is that Taylor will lose out big time. O'Neill will play when Sam needs an extra high-workrate ball winner in the midfield, Vaz Te when he's doing some attacking, plus apparently Maiga can play there and Collison once he's fit... leaving a fair bit of competition for that other winger spot.

Surely Benny gets the nod right? He has got to be the best MF on the team now...any ideas on the line-up?

why was mccartney subbed off on 70min for o' brien against villa? did he get a knock? now he's fit again is he pretty much assured the left back starting role? thinking he's the best west ham df option as demel appears to be injury prone. what do you think?

Any West Ham experts out there who can say what the first choice back four is likely to be by the time of the DGW?

WHam have signed Emanuel Pogatetz on loan (he was at Boro before going to Germany a couple of years ago)
Am I right in thinkin he is a centre back? Will he get into the WHam team? Whose place is at risk??
(also rumours of signing Villa's out of favour left back Stephen Warnock)
Experts, please discuss...

Warnock is going to a Championship club (offered a longer deal). Pogatetz can play LB and CHmurf wrote:WHam have signed Emanuel Pogatetz on loan (he was at Boro before going to Germany a couple of years ago)
