Came on last 30min looked ok, likely to start our next game would think, be interesting to see where he plays him as expect central striker role will change from today's, Lacazzet was poor.
Didn't get much service expect that to change when Ozil playes

Hope your right, but he had chances today did not look like taking anything no matter how good the service, having said that could just need games to get sharpness that was problem today way I saw it.
We should have won today think we had most of the game and shots on goal think it was 10 - 4, but it was an encouraging start for new manager work still needed in defence but at least we had a shape at the back and hopefully Torreira will improve us playing out from the back today some of the play out was schoolboy stuff. Do think he will make a big difference, if he can adapt quickly to Prem could be a good season.

Interesting. I would have expected aura wider

I'd be very tempted by kolasinac if not for emery's history of rotating FBs at other clubs

Oil at 8.5 anyone?

No monreal either? I know it’s a new manager, but hasn’t he been one of Arsenal’s better players for the last couple of years?

Does make you realise Arsenal appear to have a bit of depth now though (lichst. as backup too).

Everything I've seen suggests Auba will play on the left and Laca through the middle. So taking this with a pinch of salt. Kolasinac does become an interesting option if he is going to pay regularly.

Yep, I’m sceptical too.

The Atletico game the other night it appeared Lacazette was more central.

They are playing again today so should give a good indication.

Ramsey the one for me, is he (when not injured) totally locked in that midfield?

8-) Torreira and Xhaka should give Ramsey even more license to roam forward.
It's him and Aubameyang for me.

Be wary of rotation though.

Yeah, I gather Emery has a nasty addiction to rotating his full backs

Depends where Mkh fits in?

Apparently Auba has roamed left and right, and Lcc has been 5hite centrally.

Emerys notes

Post by Maldini »

Who is Lcc?

Can we stop using stupid nicknames for players?

Surely it’s beneficial to all that when posting, we use their real name or a least a universally known nickname?

This isn’t just aimed at you blah, I’ve noticed a fair few posters doing it.

I assume you mean Lacazette who has one C in his name?

Rotation with who though, he has no real competition there

Monreal would be the obvious competition at LB. It remains to be seen how attacking Emery wants his full backs to be.
Monreal would be more defensive, and could even move over to LCB.

In the games so far Auba has been wide and Laca central, news on their forums that this is how they have trained too.

They play at 12.35 today, will see how they line up

Would expect Aub to lead line today at least from start against PSG, Mkh to start, think Smith Rowe unlikely to play slight foot problem, interesting to see how CB's do Sokratis and Mustafi likely to be Prem pair

Leno, Kolasinac, Papastathopoulos, Mustafi, Bellerin, Elneny, Guendouzi, Ozil, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Aubameyang

I got it from Auntie and not sure about the FB sides and she forgot Aubameyang , so not sure third or second on the list.

HT 1 - 0
We should be out of sight, but not taking good chances, any problems self made. Defence unit a worry hope that will get sorted before Prem start, Aub looks the part though, if he is to play down middle we need that promised wide player soon, confidence he has for sure. Having said that the basic shape looks good and its small in my eyes changes could change everything as some of the attacking plays are terrific.
