And few missing from the WC?

I'd guess confirmation re FK'er and where Mkh, Aub and Lac play will be of interest?

2-0 in first 10 Aub got both playing on left but seems to have free role, young kid Smith Rowe looks a gen prospect, big change is in central defence playing as proper CB's

Hattrick in 15, know its a meaningless game but its a very good watch playing with proper CB means backs can push to give width if they can do that in prem be interesting to see in first couple of games

Thanks 8-)

4-3-3 with M-N in midfield?

Emery has a reputation for bringing the kids through :wink:

5-0 ht stand out player Smith Rowe, should be a different side second, still work to do at the back, such a change of expectation will take bit of time, hope they can sort before season start, Bellerin still has problem with position defending

It is a good season to "transition" with:

Spurs missing laods of players for a few weeks;
the impending seismic shift at Chelsea;
the Lpool GK debacle;
and
MU without Lulu, Pog and Rashford from their "attack" as well as Jones and Young from the defence;

Citeh's only real hit is Kun\Jesus? Although CB could be a bit of an issue?

And your fixtures are rather pleasant for a Team to gel etc? (I think that MC (H) first match is an excellent time to play them, and only bettered by the away match; and Chelsea could well be ripe for a thrashing in the 2nd.)

Looks like proper defence and attack then proper midfield?

Is that the same Perez who ran around like a loony a few seasons back then went to Newcastle or somewhere?

Lookman looked :lol: :lol: :lol: like quite a player, but hardly a SAM player.....

There seems to be a raft of cheap mids with a lot of potential this season: off the top of my head there are the two at Wolves, and Mkh and Torr at Arsenal then with a start then Lookman tops the midfield at under 30m?

Every pre-season has their whatshisname from Wigan, and Club's false dawns (with Everton topping this list for me, but I am a sympathiser since Wobbie took over from DM.)

8-0 at end, probably only thing to gen come out from game in FF terms is that Aub should be on most lists to think about and Mkhitaryan is a class player, young new player Guendouzi looks a prospect at least now we have 2 natural sitting mid players, sorting out backs positioning still an issue hope will be sorted before season start am hopeful it looks a pretty well balanced squad.

Lac was central? So Aub and Mkh wide in the front 3?

That would be my take, though Aub did seem to have licence to come inside, it makes a very fluid front 3 if they can make it work in Prem is the question.
For me at season start only 2 afc players to consider, fingers crossed that could change after first few games, Ramsey in second half made some good runs, but need to see how he links with Ozil, if they gel it could be a better season for us than most think, new manager see's defending very differently to Wenger and that is the key to just how well we do

Where does Torreira fit in then? Or do I need to find some cash for Mkh?

Any idea what the first choice defence will look like, I am severely tempted by Kolasanic at 5.0m.

Torriera worth picking simply because he comes from Fray Bentos

Would expect him to play just in front of back 4, a pure guess on back 4 would be Lichtsteiner, Mustafi, Sokratis, Monreal. then Torreira behind Ozil, Ramsey front 3 Aub, Lacazette, Mkh,
Keeper is a puzzle probably Leno but Cech could well start

Arsenal won 8-0 at Boreham Wood yesterday, Aubameyang scoring a hat trick in the first 17 minutes.

Interesting performance, seems to be clear water between managers, new guy puts more emphasis on a disciplined defence than Wenger did when his sides lost Grahams set up, if he has the needed quality there is the question, but it for sure gave reason to look on the bright side, the next few games against some very testing sides, Atletico, PSG, Chelsea, Seville, should give us a fair idea of squad quality and likely start 11, still strong rumours that they are trying for at least one maybe 2 to come in . At mo in my view they need to slim squad down, but to have 2 proper holding mids is very welcome, if he can get the back 4 sorted am pretty optimistic, going forward looked very good, unlikely to win prem but those other 3 places could be realistic target, the warm up games will tell us if am seeing a half full rather than a half empty glass.

As above\before he seems a good fit with the bringing kids through.... and a flowing\flexible attack on top of a solid defence? Yep Arsene with Manny and Patrick in front of that back 4.....

Do you think it is 2 DM's and Ozil or Ramsey and Bellerin and maybe Kola too or one DM (Torr) with 2 Defensive FB's and Ramsey and Ozil?

Not 100% sure but think todays team is
Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Kolasinac, Ramsey, Guendouzi, Nelson, Smith Rowe, Aubameyang, Lacazette

We seem to be very keen on young Smith Rowe getting experience would think reason Jack was let go, fingers crossed will get feed for game

ht 0 - 1
Good game, Aub looks very sharp again getting a pretty free role switching from left to right, problem it does give picking up runners not in his game , Lacazzette not sure about had few chances not that sharp, Ramsey looks very fit playing ok. Defence shape looks fine at least now we have backs making runs from one side they both dont charge up as before.

FT 1 - 1 lost on Pens ( lot of changes after 60 mins)
What did we learn, still need lot of work moving ball out of defence when a press is on, made hard work of that in game, Aub looks ready for season start, a way has to be found to take account of him not defending back. Lacazzete not sure about him and dont see any alternative to him and if Aub plays down middle we need that wing player we are rumoured to be chasing. couple of good performances from kids, Guendouzi has the ability but has to learn pace of game and play his game to it often wanted more time than game allowed, but Smith Rowe looks the part just hope the club are sensible with him seems to have it all.
Early days but optimistic about season, should be better than last but if good enough to make top 4 based on what have seen so far a stretch

Came on last 30min looked ok, likely to start our next game would think, be interesting to see where he plays him as expect central striker role will change from today's, Lacazzet was poor.
