Dummett! Ben Arfa doesn't play left back last I checked :P I completely missed the Ben Arfa post

To be honest I'd be avoiding all Newcastle players like the plague atm

In his favour, he'll be on the majority of set pieces if Cabaye doesn't play. (Ben Arfa that is!)

I've got Ben Arfa in my Tiny 14s and you had me worried for a sec. Think that might be my only Newcastle coverage (although I've somehow got 3 in an ongoing auction game. Luckily it is a squad game so I dropped them all last week!)

Who is likely to start left-back for the next few games, Dummett or Haidara? Or 50/50?

I see Haidara has been starting at LB pre season and I can't see any mention of Dummet.
Can anyone shed any light on who will be first choice LB this season?

Ok, I'll have a go at this.

The most recent news I've been able to find on Dummett is that he suffered a hamstring injury playing for Wales in June. He's not shown as being injured on Physioroom.

Here's my probable starting XI:-

Krul

Janmaat
Coloccini
Taylor / Mbemba
Haidara

Colback
Anita
Sissoko
Wijnaldum
De Jong

Mitrovic

Apparently McLaren likes to play a 4-2-3-1 formation. Coloccini is currently club captain, but is injured, and is also rumoured to be going to Palace. I'd expect Mbemba to be a nailed on starter if he's match fit. Same with Mitrovic. We'll probably know more after tomorrow's friendly against Munchengladbach.

Surely there has to be a place for Perez in the starting 11?

GK - Krul
LB - Haidara
CB - Co-lo
CB - Mbemba
RB - Janmatt
CM - Colback
CM - Wjnaldum
AML - Perez
AMC - Sissoko
AMR - De Jong
S - Mitrovic

This would be with 1 up top, 3 attacking midfielders behind that could rotate a bit and then the other 2 midfields pulling the strings and making the passes with Colback not venturing too far forward. Possibly a bit too attacking however!
