Too early to tell. In fact Costa isn't even nailed on yet and has not played in the last two friendlies. As an FPL asset I would steer clear of both of them for the time being.

Any thoughts on starting XI? Seem to be short of defenders with current injurys. Can't work out full backs unless new signings.

Another enigma there. Most people are sure Conte will play with three at the back and looking to sign another pricey CB. Rumors of both Bonucci and Chiellini. The last two friendlies have had Aina, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta. If they don't sign anyone I can see a back three of Cahill, Terry and Ivanovic if needed. I couldn't begin to guess on any other spot at the moment. You would expect Willian to be nailed on but Cuadrado has looked excellent and Conte has publicly praised him. Matic seems to be nailed on but could easily be benched for Kante and Oscar or Kante and Cesc depending on the game. For me personally I am holding off on any Chelsea assets except for one of Terry or Cahill at the start of the season until we get a better idea as to starting XI.

Is it me or is Chelski seemingly hard to call more than four or five players that one thinks are pretty much nailed on? Courtois, Matic, Willian, Hazard, errrmmm..... any defenders that can get added to that list? The more you look, the more you see how much in transition the team is.

On your list I would only put faith in Courtois and Hazard at the moment. Could easily see Matic benched in certain games and Cuadrado has been far better in the friendlies than Willian. I think Cahill is nailed on as is Terry until Zouma returns to full fitness.
