Maybe, but to me our start 11 will be

Cech
Holding
Mustafi
Monreal

Bellarin
Ox
Xhaka
Elneny
Kolasinac

Alexis
Lacezette

Maybe Iwobi for Ox
Dont think either of 2 injuries are long term one or both could be on bench. Just wish Wenger would get on with signing the 2 players we desperately need, we have the money so spend it even if it means bit over the odds.
Think its between the 2 Manchester clubs at mo but those 2 if signed could make it a 3 horse race.

And when Koscielny is back, a straight swop for Holding? a straight swop not involving Holding? or something involving Monreal moving position?

Isn't Iwobi favoured ahead of Ox?
And Ramsey ahead of Elneny?

Holding has put himself ahead of Mert, he will play alongside Kos. Been our best defender in the warm up games.

You mean as a regular starter ahead of Mustafi and Gabriel? (I assume Monreal is LCB...)

Fair chance Gabriel will be sold and looks like/my guess Monreal switch to CB making it Kos Mastafi Monreal as prefered CB's withe Bellarin or Ox RWB and Kolasinac LWB. If right thats in my view as good a defence as we have had in a while.
Just need a proper partner for Xhaka and thats potentially a very competitive side, now if Jack gets himself fit he would in my view be ideal, but thats a stretch. So Wenger has to buy, will not be a happy bunny if he cant see what we need.

thanks re avoiding Holding, as I don't want to be mucking about with Transfers...

From an FF perspective: Ox could also play LWB as he did\started at Wembley, which would reduce Kola's minutes?

Agree thats why would not be happy if sold, he can play in 3 or 4 positions, would think he will at some point be used at start in all of them, but as a bench player he is a huge asset

And could get plenty of starts until he signs a new contract: taking Points from Kola and Bellerin :(

Sadly Alexis out for at least next 2 games according to reports, would think Iwoibi will start in his position

"Wenger, who will not be able to call upon the services of the suspended Laurent Koscielny, said that Ozil only had a "little chance" to feature against the Foxes and that Ramsey could also be lacking the requisite fitness.

The Frenchman was coy on the rest of his injury concerns two days away from Leicester, stating: "I have plenty of uncertainties about the players who didn't play against Chelsea. For example Ramsey, Ozil, Mertesacker... and of course Koscielny is suspended.

"I have players coming back who have not played, like Mustafi. Alexis will not be available for example, so I cannot go into the game with too many uncertainties."

Kolasinac. Will he be nailed or will he rotate with Monreal?

There will be a lot of very unhappy Afc fans if Kolasinac does not start, been a while since a new player for us has had such a fast impact especially a free transfer. Monreal would think will play as LCB when we play 3 at the back. If Wenger switches to a 4 not so sure, but if had to guess would think Kola would be the choice.
Our weakness is same as last few seasons we need a proper defence minded football playing midfielder, we do have 1 but he is injured and not sure will be same player when he returns, not until Cazorla out do you see how good he is. It costs us silly goals no matter how good our defence if you dont clear your lines safely you give other team chances, Xhaka needs a partner, if we are to have any chance this season

Some reports that Ozil will be in tomorrows squad, no idea how true they are, but would not be surprised. Annoying as just taken him out of my teams, will leave as is and hope for info in the morning.

Ramsey, Ozil and Mertesacker all trained fully yesterday; not sure if that means they'll start though.

Thanks,
Hopefully Jack plays for U23 on Monday, if we can get him fit and staying that way pair him with Xhaka, just might increase my every season bet on us for Prem from at present £20 to 3 figures would fancy our chances, but keeping him fit is the question

Not team would have predicted
Arsenal: Cech, Holding, Monreal, Kolasinac, Bellerin, Elneny, Xhaka, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Welbeck, Ozil, Lacazette.

Subs: Ramsey, Giroud, Ospina, Walcott, Iwobi, Mustafi, Coquelin.

Leicester: Schmeichel, Simpson, Morgan, Maguire, Fuchs, Mahrez, Ndidi, James, Albrighton, Okazaki, Vardy.

Subs: Chilwell, Gray, Iheanacho, King, Hamer, Amartey, Slimani.

We got lucky tonight, but it is frustrating following Afc but you do get to see some great games. Hope when we get our
proper defence it will not be quite so nervy , but some of the attacking football a joy to watch, Kolasinac looks a steal and cant see Monreal getting games in his true position, may take Kola few games to understand way game is played in Prem when he does he will be adored at Afc by the fans, now it just needs Wenger to stop messing around 2 top class additions to give us proper defending security and we could and in my view will challenge, but without the money being spent may be another frustrating season, would not mind if we did not have the money but we are one of the richest clubs in the world when it comes to cash in the bank, there are just a few players in the world we cant afford, he is so annoying its not your money Mr Wenger.

Jack played in AFc u23 game against Derby a 3-2 win but apparently it was young Nelson who stole the show, only seen his 2 goals second very good finish. Do expect him to be involved with first team squad this season, fingers crossed he has better luck than Jack has had with injuries

Gabriel has joined Valencia, would not be the biggest surprise if Alexis is on bench tomorrow.
Hope Wenger puts out a stronger back 3 than we had in first game, I would go with Mustafi, Mert, Monreal.
It looks like its between Welbeck and Ox for third place up front, I'd go for Welbeck but that's a guess.

Poor performance, dont blame the players so much, as way Wenger set them up, just madness, try not to be one of the Wenger out lot but he does make it very hard with amount of players he used out of position in a defence that in its last game was a nightmare, sometimes some of the things he does would not happen on Hackney Marshes games, today was just insane. Having said that we were unlucky to lose to me that was not off side and if same happens another 100 times goal will be given every time, he was dead level

I was wary of opening this, having used words like madness elsewhere here - as I like and respect you.... But yep it was stupid rather than insane as there tends to be some logic to insanity, but Ox at RB, Monreal at CB, Bellerin at LB and Kolathing taken off was incredulous. What was wrong with Bellerin RB, and Kola and Monreal at CB and LB?

That goal would have papered over the insanity - then Arsene took him off and left Welbeck on  Missing that header (I mean the ball) was shocking, imho.

You wont find many premier league teams this weekend using a player at left back who cant actually use his left foot.

Liverpool tried it with Djimi Traore a few years ago and it didn't work. Mind you, he was even worse with his right foot.

Any rivals to him for worst player to own a Champions League winners' medal?
