Re: FISO Virtual Relay London Marathon - NOW on WEEK 18!
Wet and windy here so not been out yet. Dry now and most of weekend but may put it off til Sunday as I have been resting a dodgy ankle/achilles since last weekend - not that it is getting much better.

Re: FISO Virtual Relay London Marathon - NOW on WEEK 18!
Ran 5 km in 26:55 earlier.
Haven't done the maths, but don't think I've done too much damage to the average pace. Good luck to whoever is picking up the baton.

20th Weekly FISO Coronavirus Marathon Relay
GO!
murf 6.22km 0:37:45
TOTAL - 6.22km - 0:37:45
To Go - 35.98 km
6.04/km, not bad for me on a hilly route (with 2 gates and 3 dog toilet stops negotiated!) but about at about 4:16 marathon pace so some faster runners needed if you want a PB.
I've also now run further in 2020 (554km) than my tallies for the whole of each of the last 3 years (516, 547 and 551km) - all 7 full years since I started running are over 500km. Not sure I'll beat 2016's 826km now I've cut out the longer runs but should be my second best year (2015's 699km to beat).
PS I overtook The Proclaimers (we've now run 502 miles in total!)

Unfortunately not. They would walk 500 miles and they would walk 500 more.murf wrote:PS I overtook The Proclaimers (we've now run 502 miles in total!)

11.27km (7 miles in old money) in 1:05:23. Fair bit slower but yesterday was a real push and today's was a bit more relaxed.Mystery wrote:6.23k in 30:01 today but don't stick it on the total yet. I might do longer tomorrow

Had no idea, so decided that cheating was the best option.
My investigations have led me to the conclusion that it's Jean Alesi.

I did a 10k yesterday but won't use it as I am doing a run on sunday, hopefully.
Mine was also using a parkRun course (in part), the old Workington one (sadly, since moved) where I set my all time PB. Wasn't quite as fast yesterday but at 56:37 I was inside 4 hour marathon pace! A nice tarmac cycle path but not level, the parkRun route was a near constant moderate gradient -uphill out and downhill back to the finish which I loved.
