Man of the Match - Premier League

Post by admin »

FanTeam's Man of the Match for Premier League for €7.70 entry fee.

This week FanTeam have added Man of the Match with a lower buy-in to the tournament set up. Many people wanted a more moderate buy-in for this special kind of tournament.

MOTM is a fun format where you pick only one player per match and with the feature Late Swap enabled, you can change the players that have not already been in action, at any time during the weekend.

Man of The Match starts on Saturday at 12:30.

Main rules:
This tournament runs over one gameweek only.
Normal prize distribution: Distribution is decided by a ratio of 15
Standard score calculation.
A fantasy team cannot include more than 1 players from the same match.
Multiple fantasy teams per user are allowed in this tournament
There are no bench-players to be selected in this tournament
The budget is $90.0M
If two teams are tied, the team with the most funds remaining wins.
This tournament has a late swap functionality. This means that you can sell/buy players for all matches up until they start. You still need to register before the first match in the tournament.
Safety-net is enabled. All non-starting players will be replaced at the beginning of their match, with a player from the same team, same position, and equal or cheaper price. Closest price chosen first

News from FanTeam:

'Man of The Match without late swap!

Fans of MOTM will be pleased that the special format is back again in Premier League. We had to lay low with it in December because of the focus on WCOFF, but now it is back with both low and high buy-in. It is however with a twist: We will now try to run MOTM as no swap. Several users have argued that no late swap would work better for the format, and we are excited to test it out! Instead, the well-known safety net will be enabled. As you may know, in Man of The Match you must pick only one player per match. This restriction actually makes the game extra fun, believe it or not!

MOTM starts at 13:30 on New Years Day and all matches in the gameweek is included'

Top of the pile with one match remaining :-)

Any idea why Carroll hasn’t been subbed as part of the safety net?

If a striker of lower value didnt play then he wont get swapped. He cant be swapped for a higher value.

Something you need to be aware of when setting up your team if any doubts over any player starting.

Good luck tonight

Good luck with TAA tonight (or if he doesn't start then whoever was next in line lower than him).

Well done on winning. And despite having only 9 playing whilst most of the other 70 entrants had 10.
