If you are paying 25 Euros by converting from £, the PayPal exchange rate is poor.
I retried my 2 overseas Mastercards and payments declined again.

So what’s the craic with the deposit bonus?

Is there one and how much does it go up to (min deposit-max deposit)

Could in theory one deposit like 13 euro get it matched and pay for a team?

I’m very intrigued by this new game especially so, as of what has been done with TFF. Thanks for all the info on this thread. Think I’m gonna join 🤔

I’ve just joined , relatively easy with PayPal payment. Based on the fpl game so only premiership games count. It’ll be a massive challenge for me as I only played fpl for the first time last year so I’m not used to the format. Saying that I’m confident I’ll get my money back with how low the entries are and % they pay back out.

I’m also gonna try and advertise this by sending out a link on Facebook. Be good if many more could do the same on various media based sites and get the entry numbers to well over 12,000 and maybe increase prize pot, if not maybe for upcoming seasons.

Sounds like you've misunderstood the tournament basis:

1. There is a maximum limit to the entries for this competition of 12,000. It will close to entries when/if 12,000 enter. In theory if they do get the max entries they could open another separate season long comp but that would have its own prize structure.

2. FanTeam have said the prize pot is guaranteed regardless of the number of entries. Be it 400, 4,000 or the maximum 12,000 entries the prizes paid out will be the same with the top 1,250 getting at least their money back.

How close they get to 12,000 entries (currently at just 472 but a number from the UK have been unable to pay via CC) will presumably have a big bearing on whether they repeat it next year so I do agree though that spreading the word will help in that way.

Eff me this could cost them a pretty penny if they don’t get many more than the 1250 entrants.

Don’t spread the word too much lads.

Ahhhh I see. Cant see how they can guarantee prizes like that when so far away from entries at the moment....

I wonder if there will be a sudden rush of entries from the promoters, if only to see if they can prevent themselves having to pay out every prize.

I'm sure they'll get over 1,250 but doubt even they know what they'll get to after that. The company behind it publish their financials being quoted.

Bethard (Scout Gaming provide their FF platform too) did a similar promotion last season, I think the total entries reached approx. 2,700 teams (I'd expect Fanteam to get far less considering Bethard is much more established).

My (paid for) Bethard team was chucked out after a month or so into last season as I had forgotten to send proof of ID. No friendly reminder was sent to me, no refund, no apology. So my advice would be to be very careful with this lot.

admin, your first post says there will be monthly (1k) and weekly (400) prizes. Where does it state that on the website? I can only see prizes for the seasonal spots (1-1,250)

The full rules are in the Support section under the Season Long FPL game and that includes the monthly and weekly prizes. I copied the rules and put them on a separate topic of this FanTeam forum.

I've been informed that the credit card problem has finally been resolved. Visa and Mastercard payments should now work without issues.

I had to send my ID today; it was relatively simple if not a little worrying. Everyone else better do the same or be prepared to do so before paying for a team.

If they get 1,250 that's only 31,250 euros so still way behind the money they'd need to pay out.

They'd better pay the guaranteed winnings out of their central funds then. Obviously it's only them providing the guarantee but they are saying they have the funds to pay the winners regardless of how many enter.

On the top right, at your account info, you should be able to see whether your acoount is verified. If yes - perfect. If not, you will need to provide some ID to cash out at some point.

The transfer page doesn’t work on an iPad, using Safari. Portrait to see the player list, landscape to see my squad.

Anyone know?

Tbh the proof of Id concerns me also from an ID theft perspective...I mean how safe is their site?

Was it easy to upload....do they prompt you to do it?

What ID do they require, PP or DL?

You get the deposit bonus as a percentage knocked off the entry fee of games u enter, so I deposited 25 euro and got a percentage knocked off my entry into the seasonal game.

You see on your account how much bonus you have left to be deducted from future games in your account.

Proof of identification is a pretty basic requirement for any company with a gambling license. You should be more worried if they were not doing it!

How many teams is everyone entering?

Originally thought 2, but now thinking 4 to ensure good captain coverage and it shouldn't be too tough to get most of that entry money back by having a couple of teams finish in top 1250.

Looks as though Fanteam excludes people from most countries from playing, including here in New Zealand where gambling is legal... disappointing. Not sure they’ll make it to 12,500 entries if they’re only supporting a select number of nations.
