ACTIVE DRAFT MONEY LEAGUE 2018-2019

Post by taivt » 29 Jun 2018, 06:07

I'm planning for a draft league format that recommend members keep playing every GW, not quitting too soon, making regular interactions between each other, so I call it "ACTIVE DRAFT MONEY LEAGUE"

* Number of entrants: 16 or 24 or 32 (as SIZE1, SIZE2, SIZE3 refered below)
* Each entrant has 2 team, enter 2 leagues (one Classic, one H2H)
* League size: 8
* Entry fee: 25 GBP. Money will be hold by a trustful member.
* Dradt date: 2 diffrent days for Classic and H2H leagues (7-9 days from GW1 start date)

* Transfer rules:
- After each 3 GW, at GW 4,7,10,13,16,19,22,25,28,31,34,37 is call "forced transfer window": Each team must transfer out at least one player with double digit point (>=10) in one of 3 previous GW.

For example:
Team ABC has Salah 7-12-2 in GW 1-2-3 ; no more double digit point player --> He must transfer out Salah in GW4 forced transfer window.
Team DEF has Kane 12-10-7; Shaqiri 11-2-2 in GW 1-2-3 --> He must transfer out Kane or Shaqiri in GW4 forced transfer window.
Team XYZ do not have any double digit point player in GW 1-2-3 --> He do not need to tranfer out any player in GW4 forced transfer window.

- The tranfer method must be "Waivers" so that these players only available in waivers mode in the following GW--> fair oppotunities for teams, especially bottom teams.

Edited: Since new game 2018-2019 support trading between teams, the transfer method "trading" will be apply. In a "forced transfer window", If a member cannot trade sucessfully, he must transfer via waivers.

- Transfer in "Free agency" mode for these players in forced transfer window is called a "FOUL".
- Each team violate this tranfer rule (not making transfer out double digit point player successfully) is called a "FOUL". (To tranfer a player out for sure, make at least 8 diffrent waiwers request with highest priority for the player out)

==> These rules will make tranfer windows more exciting, more good choices, restrict teams to keep top players from start to end.

* Prizes:
- Each GW, team(s) with the highest point over all leagues get 1% total prize (4 GBP - 6 GBP - 8GBP arcording to SIZE1-SIZE2-SIZE3) --> 38% total prizes.
- In case of equality highest GW point, the prize will be shared between teams.

==>Weekly prizes encourage members keep trying every week.

- Each League Winner at the end get 37 GBP.
- Each League Runner-up at the end get 25 GBP.
- Each entrant can get as may prizes as he can from 2 teams.

* Discipline:
- Each entrant with teams making 1 "FOUL" will be subtracted 20% of his total prize (if has any), 2 "FOUL" will be 50%, 3 FOUL will be 100%.
- From GW30, any first "FOUL" will be count as second, second "FOUL" will be count as third.
- Total subtracted money will be shared to entrants with least "FOUL" --> Entrant can get money for follwing the rules.

At the beginnging GWs, entrants will remind each other making transfer, report others's FOUL in the forum (or new Facebook group maybe) until we develop tools to detect "FOUL" automatically (I will spent my spare-time for it).

Any idea to contribute is apprecited!

I'm not sure I follow why the forced transfers have to be made using waivers rather than free-agency. If the rules are the same as last season then players transferred out in free-agency do not become available until the next waiver window - the same as players transferred out in waivers.

Any ideas to make the game a bit more dynamic with the premium players are worthy of consideration though. It did seem to drag a bit in the middle months last season.

As i remember, player trannsfer via waivers are locked and only avaible for next transfer windows, while free agency are not.

My recollection is that players transferred out by both waivers and free-agency are locked until the next waiver window which is why we had the whole blocking tactic discussion here. Oh well :lol:

Typically the rules on the draft fpl site aren't very explicit, although they don't specify any difference in state between players removed by waivers or free-agency:
Player states

Players can be in one of the following states:

Owned - player is already in a squad
Available - player is available to be selected either immediately (if free agency is active) or at the next waiver process
Locked - player can't be selected. Reasons for this are a) player has been added to the game within 24 hours of the waiver / draft deadline or when free agency mode is active or b) player has been removed from another squad. Locked players become available for waiver requests at the next deadline.
