Private League + £20 entry 2012/2013
I am chairing a Private League + in the 2012/2013 Sky game http://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
£20 entry - winner takes all . Sky hold the money and pay the winner
If the league wins the £5000 prize for being the top scoring Private League + , it will be £1000 each for the top 5
This is not a main FISO league - please read this before you consider entering viewtopic.php?f=2&t=27293" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Everybody can enter 2 Private League +
For the official FISO Private Leagues please go to:

I'd be up for sticking a team in that, hopefully we get a fair few from here and have a decent shout at the £5,000
Cheers for sorting Andy.

I'll be in for this!! Andy I have contacted sky to see if they pay out the additional 5k directly, or if it is down to the chairmen to sort out. I'll post on here when I receive a response.

Hi Andy,
As you get 2 teams in the sky game, would this be 1 team only or both per entrant?

Re: Private League + £20 entry
If people are prepared to join this league for £20 a go and admin sets up a league for say the minimum £2 a go how many of the £20 entrants won't also join the £2 league?
What I'm saying is if both leagues exist then this league won't stand a chance of winning the £5k prize due to the duplicate/extra teams in the £2 league.

I think what bigsheff means is does £20 allow you to enter both teams or would that be £40? Tell me to mind my own business if I'm wrong!andye wrote:Entirely up to you - the more the merrierbigsheff wrote:Hi Andy,

Had a reply about this...Mintman wrote:I'll be in for this!! Andy I have contacted sky to see if they pay out the additional 5k directly, or if it is down to the chairmen to sort out. I'll post on here when I receive a response.
Mr Sky wrote:Dear Mr Waring
Thank you for your recent correspondence.
If your paid Private+ league were to win the £5,000 prize for the top scoring Private+ mini league, the cheque for the full amount of £5,000 is sent out directly to the person who created the league.
It would be down to the chairman of the league to bank the cheque and then make any payments themselves to individual league entrants if required.
Kind regards
Sky FF
Sky collect all the entry fees then pay out direct into the winners SkyBet account at the end of the comp. Very good idea, and they did the same thing last year too.Ashers wrote:How do Sky hold the money?

Re: Private League + £20 entry
That is IF admin sets up a cash league? Also many people who would enter this one prefer to play for higher stakes, so as you can only join 2 cash leagues i'd say the chances of people being in this one and not being in the £2 one would be pretty high!!Dixon wrote:If people are prepared to join this league for £20 a go and admin sets up a league for say the minimum £2 a go how many of the £20 entrants won't also join the £2 league?

Re: Private League + £20 entry
If you can be in 2 cash leagues you can join both
If a split of 5 x £1k for the top 5 is announced in both leagues the £20 league would need 50 participants for the OVERALL winner of that league to match the £1k prize when they could finish 5th in the £2 league and end up with the same prize. (if of course that won the SL prize).
I'd expect many of Andy's friends from his last years Campeones League of specifically invited, well known good players (that were not part of the FISO League) to join this league thus creating a decent differential, i guess it would all depend on numbers in both leagues. if the £2 league had 240+ teams (as last seasons FISO League did) with this league with say 100ish the £2 league would walk it like last season regardless of quality of player throughout each of the two leagues. The gap last season showed a hefty difference in top 5 average because of the number of participants.

Re: Private League + £20 entry
Thanks for the positive comments
There has already been a lot of interest in this league . I would imagine the top team will win well over a grand and the league should be very competitive given the type of players who are going to enter

The feeling's very mutualandye wrote:Before the start of last season an individual set up a FISO league in the Sky Premier League game - I didn't want to take part in a league chaired by him so I set a league up called 'Campeones' . Some other experienced fantasy football players joined me and our league finished second .
good luck.

Andy I have put both my teams into the Fiso leagues, free and £5 entry. Am I right in saying I can also enter one of them into this?

Re: Private League + £20 entry
Thanks andye i will probably have a go at it for £20. I like the way Sky have it set up for us to play fairly. I realise i'm up against top players but for just a twenty note might as well join in, cheers.
