Well if you go onto the web-site there is a 'here' button to click. I did have to change the web-site after day 1 as something went a bit wrong. Should be working now.

Most unusual. Saturday is ages ago. Go to the web-site, click on the 'here' and scroll all the way down to the bottom.

Just tried it myself, and it works. It's a dropbox file, so it opens up dropbox just in case you want to save the file, but you can just ignore that.

Please some-one tell me it's working. All this time I've been updating at the end of each session, but it's only me that can see it.

Wonder why some of us get an old file? Maybe the site is not liking to Dropbox correctly

I can see it properly (using Dropbox app on phone) but only used PC to view it before.

Not sure it's right though as I'm only 76th and bloke in 2nd has his first 2 picks knocked out already (prepare for rapid descent)!

Yeah this one needs a who dares wins approach I think. You need an outsider with a high multiplier going deep into the tournament to be different from the pack. I'm ready for the fall now.

I'd be in the middle of the top 10 rather than 76th if I'd just moved Maguire up to 1st pick (from 4th) - and that is without 2 starting their games yet

EDIT - bit weird that 2 of the top 3 scorers so far are players who lost!

Snooker Table

Post by SamD »

In reply to Shaggy365's "Just tried it myself, and it works. Please some-one tell me it's working.
All this time I've been updating at the end of each session, but it's only me that can see it."

Possible reason is that original link* to players and table differs from the one now referred to by 'here'** on site:

* http://pwhitehead.webs.com/Snooker%202017.pdf (shows weekend standings)

** https://www.dropbox.com/s/xl6sj3s49xh51 ... 7.pdf?dl=0 (current)

Perhaps a heading line could be added to include session date & time of league whenever it is updated?

So what happened to Brecel? Did he implode, or was Fu REALLY good?

Fu was very good. Brecel was a bit ragged positional wise but continued to pot well, just didn't make it count in the balls. It was still harsh on him to lose and I was gutted as I think he's a star. Fair play to Fu though. Balls of steel. Could well go all the way.

The problem Brecel has is Yan, who is very, very good, then there is Zhao(sp?) There are quite a few who could be good enough, but lack consistency.....

Fu is below: Trump, Selby, Ronnie and Ding (who has been very impressive) imho; for a wildcard Macguire is worth a shout: if, and it is a massive if he can be bothered, concentrate and play properly.... For me he is a bit of a lazy, just interested in being in top 16 for the cash rather than winning stuff just like Williams.

Brecel was penalised for a push shot in the 19th frame I think which was very harsh. He argued and it seemed to unsettle him

He beat Anthony McGill 10-2. His value is 34, McGill 37. So he scored (2 x 10 x 37) - (2 x 34) = 672.

Well, another couple of sessions, and I'm now nearer the bottom that I am the top. Need Trump to pull it round, but I don't really think that'll happen.

Oh well, there's always next year.

I dont know why they made Judd Trump favourite to win the tournament as it is obviously that he does not play well when he is favourite

Trump shocked everyone a few months back when getting to the final two as an outsider. Was clear second favourite but somehow still won the US Open.

Does well to even hold the cue with those small hands.

Right chaps, as promised here is the league table at the end of the first round, with no second round scores included.

All of which means that I can start running the Knockout Cup (at least try and run it). The top 16 qualify, and play as a standard knockout competition. So no pulling balls out of a sack.

I missed the order of the players rule so having Carrington as my second means I'll be. On engaging on Eurosport shortly.
