How worried are people about this? I have to say, I am not pleased that all these agencies will be able to search my internet history from January 1:

Why should most of these people be able to access my history without a warrant? And does anybody really believe that there isn't going to be hacking incident?!

I will almost certainly invest in VPN service now, any recommendations?

Cyberghost is good, I use the free version on laptop and tablet. They don't keep records of sites you visit so authorities can only see you visited a Cyberghost server in whatever country you choose to be in at that moment
The paid version gives more options such as more countries to choose from and faster servers

I seem to hear only good things about AirVPN and will probably be looking at them very soon. £50-ish a year seems about the ballpark.

Just found out (via The Last Leg) that MPs are exempt from the Snooper's Charter
