Euro 2016 Blocks
I'm going to stick my neck on the line ( ) and say one of the following blocks will win the SDT Euro 2016 comp :
Spain
Germany
England
France
Italy
Belgium
If it's same rules as the EL/CL comp (no changes after 1st ko), then we will only get the team news to be able to correctly pick the France back 5. In theory, one could wait for the Spain team news before entering, but then you miss on all the points from France, Germany, England games and you just know someone is going to score big in one of them
What are other people's thoughts and which defensive block(s) do you expect to shine bringing home the cleansheets

Re: Euro 2016 Blocks
Whilst I agree the listed teams have the higher likelihood of keeping the most clean sheets I think that all the listed defences will be expensive and restrict the outfield possibilitys
Maybe a Cheeper defence may be the way to go, a bit like the teams with the Sevilla or Shaktar defenders in the Europe game, with that said though, I suppose it's Real who has kept the most clean sheets.
Personally, I fancy the Germans, world champs and normally very solid at the back

Re: Euro 2016 Blocks
France - home advantage, easy group and Sakho and Laporte being out should reduce doubts about starting XI and rotation etc.

Re: Euro 2016 Blocks
France leading the way so far unsurprisingly - it's the safest block as we get the team news and injury/suspension means little rotation as previous poster said.
Spain and Germany blocks are a lot more difficult to predict imo with only 3 of the back 5 nailed on in each case (Germany full-backs? Juanfran/Carvajal + De Gea/Casillas?).
Belgium now without Kompany making that block less appealing + they are in the "Group of Death" with Italy who have also been a bit leaky recently and seem to change systems quite a bit.
England block now suddenly looks a little more appealing to me personally (despite no backing in the poll as of yet) as it should be easier to predict the back 5 (only question mark is Clyne or Walker?) and not the most difficult group.
Be interested to know who the "Other" voter is backing - I assume Portugal or Austria? I didn't include them in the poll as don't think SDT will list enough of their defenders in order to do a full block.

Re: Euro 2016 Blocks
I honestly don't know. Kante did score in a recent friendly if memory serves me correctly so may have done enough to warrant a place after also winning the title with Leicester? Guess we will find out when that 1st teamsheet comes in.thebillfella wrote:Diarra probably still gets the nod ahead of Kante at the moment thought doesn't he?BLOCKHEAD wrote:Here we go for those planning to do France blocks.....
