Oulala Tactics

Post by Shaq »

ok, so I've read through the game, signed up and now I'm ready to roll but I could do with a little guidance. I'm an ok fantasy player but Oulala seems a little specialised so those that have played it before help me out!

the website is really good, easy to navigate through and simple to use, I like it.

so from what I've read elsewhere it's the busy players that do well in this game, defensive midfielders especially, I'd also assume a striker like Rooney is a better pick than one like van Persie? Rooney is a more involved player, is that the right assumption to make?

so based on that is Zlatan a good pick? is he involved enough? or would going for a Cavani/Lavezzi be better (wing forward), involved in more attacking play no?

I also read that the French league defenders did well last season? I'm sure Ligue 1 is a more defensive league than say the Prem or La Liga from experience (I'm an avid fan of other European leagues) so it would make sense.

I'm struggling with midfielders in Ligue 1 though, any suggestions?

from this analysis I think I'll be going 532 or 541
PSG or Lille keeper in goal
Ligue 1 centre backs i've heard of, centre backs are more involved and more of a corner goal threat I guess
midfielders still deciding on
Zlatan because he's Zlatan, but if someone gives me a good enough reason not to pick him (as above) I'm listening

are there any other ways to play this game? any tips people?

thanks, B

yes shaq i think 5 at the back is the way to go this week as bloggie said on another thread

the better midfielders have moved away from the french league, james Rodriguez, cabella etc but you can't go far wrong with the psg big hitting mids i reckon

99% are going to go with Ibra so i'd say its a 10 man game this week, better to go with the masses on a player like him

teams should look very similar this week, i wouldn't be surprised if we saw a tie for 1st!

Yeah, as Viva said really. It's pretty tricky at the start of the season as it's a good game to look at current stats/form of which of course there are none being it's the first week.

I'd say for the first few weeks (particularly regarding the Midfield) you need to go with your gut on who the star performers are for an individual team and if they have a favourable fixture go with it. After a few weeks the players will start to build up a bit of form and you can see who the go-to players are.

In terms of tactics it's worth reading the articles by The Strategist

I've tried a similar disciplined(ish) approach to team selection and have gradually improved from 500th to 36th.
