Head-to-head league sidegame

A minimum six required for a UFPL sidegame...

I would like to start a head-to-head league with managers playing games against each other. Goals will be scored depending on how well you can outscore your opponent in different areas of the pitch.

Rules:

1) Games will be played against a named opponent each week, until each manager has played every other manager. If six managers take part, a season will last five gameweeks.

2) Only the scores from the final eleven players on the pitch will be counted.

3) Your defence (including keeper) will be compared to your opponent's strikers, your strikers against their defence and the two midfields will face each other.

4) The number of goals scored depends on the difference between the scores:

Midfield battle:
0-3 No goals
4-15 One goal
16+ Two goals

Defence outscoring strikers:
1-8 One goal
9+ Two goals

Stikers outscoring defence:
1-4 No goals
5-16 One goal
17+ Two goals

5) League tables will be based on points (3 for a win, 1 for a draw), then goal difference, then goals scored, then head-to-head.

Still time for more to join if anyone wants to. I'll set the deadline for midday tomorrow, so the first fixtures can be Boxing Day. If there's an odd number of entrants, I'll drop out.

Don't see the need for that (although your choice of course!) - e.g. with 7 you could just set up the round robin as if for 8, and whoever was drawn against "team 8" gets a blank week that week
