With just one left, Skiffer is on the brink of claiming one prize, anyway

Meanwhile, email in from Chuck earlier, which I've just picked up...

Just saw Jags post. Hadn't realised about my team being Private. So changed it straight back. Slip of the mouse? Still got 5 transfers so nothing has changed

Apologies.

Knew it wouldn't have been anything sinister! I think we all know that Chuck is a big advocate of playing by the rules

:D how do you know how many other have withour trawling through all the posts on here?

I wasted a few making this team the same as my single entrant team so they were identical and I only had to manage one team.

Pretty sure that no-one else has posted on here saying they are down to zero or one transfer yet, so unless anyone has been doing sneaky unannounced transfers, you are currently in pole position

Tonight I am getting rid of Suarez and I am making a promise never to have in my teams again !! I have stuck with him in various teams early season and he has done nothing. Brought him in yesterday in my most important team after my pool fan mate convinced me Liverpool would beat the Toon, I had Cisse in the team and bottled it when it came to hitting submit.

So tonight its Suarez  Rooney

and Richards  Evans

There I feel better now !

Latest update - and Skiffer's skilful use of his rapidly-dwindling transfer pot helps him to overhaul Jag and move into second place. Chuck's lead at the top is cut back a little bit more, although he's still 43 points clear.

Top score of the week was Pilgrim Craig's 81, he moves up to 5th.

Latest snapshot. Jag edges back into second place ahead of Skiffer, Chuck's lead reduced by another 2 and is now 41 points.

So far, the best score of the week (by some distance) is my fellow hog, Hogweed, whose 75 points move him up to 11th.

Of course you do Paul, we've had a (virtual) trophy specially made in the shape of a tortoise, to remind you of the need for more tortoise hugging in the future.

And here's Judy, my Personal Assistant, to present it to you...

Reason for transfers
- Jones completely out of favour, Young likely to be replaced by Nani in real world. Had to decide what to do tactically and the sensible option was to mirror Jags picks where it suited best, Verm and Theo in tonght for the United pair made perfect sense for the good of the team and holding its position in Division 3. Sorry Jag.
