My turn to poke my nose in, etc...

Based on previous years I'd guess we are likely to get a fair few new joiners in a couple of month's time, prior to the start of the new season - I'm thinking that right now most "normal" people may have stopped thinking about fantasy football?

Especially if there's a new thread called "egg cup league open to new joiners" or something, rather than "confirm your place". You also always get those who end up with a spare team they don't know what to do with, and are looking for a league to join (like me last year in fact, when I put a team into the Block League).

So nearer the start of the season we would expect a flurry of interest, be able to grow L2 and, if it gets too big, revive a L3?

Yep I will be doing a recruitment drive nearer the start of the season (I'm not worried about this at all 4 or 5 leagues makes no difference to me), all I'm trying to do right now is establish the existing league make up. I have done this in March in previous years whilst people were still playing but thought I'd leave it til the end of the season this time. I'm often away in the summer and before the start of the season so I like to get everything set up as much as possible.

Primitive man hasn't been on Fiso since May 15th so hasn't picked up his PMs so difficult to know what to do, I'll hang on for a bit.

So...

I gained promotion from league three last season and that many have dropped out, I've still ended up in the bottom league. :?

Well that was a waste of a season!

No, wait and see what happens.

I make it that there's 13 players already in League 2 (including WiseOwl above). Based on my experience of running the bottom league a couple of years ago (we ended up with 18 in league 3), I'd expect a lot more newbies to join between now and the deadline.

So there's a very good chance it will get large enough that HH will decide to chop it in two, creating a league 3 (and you won't be in the bottom division).

Look at it that you're actually one league closer to the Premier.

As Hog says L3 may still happen.

I was only joking lads.

I should have finished top and then I'd be in League One. :)
