Photo restoration and enhancement - by me

This is something I've been meaning to set up for years but have never got round to.

Basically, I have over 20 years experience in the Graphic Arts and now I'm going freelance again this is a service I could offer and wanted to see if there was any interest or advice from the wonderful world of FISO.

Basic 'tarting up' of a picture would come as a set price for scanning, retouching/colour correction and inkjet prints of any size supplied back.

Anything that requires more work would have to be estimated for free before I went ahead with the project.

I'm starting small so I feel that I can give good value compared to 'professional' individuals and companies that can charge some very high prices for this sort of thing.

I have access to professional scanning facilities (Drum scanning) and also high quality inkjet printing on various substrates - glossy, matt or even canvas prints mounted on a wooden frame for example.

If anyone is interested or has any advice then either post here or send me a PM. There's a fair few FISOers that can vouch for the quality of my work on here so you know you'll get a very good result.

I for one can vouch for Dixie's work, he done a cracking job of editting a photo of my daughter.

Be careful with some of these touch up merchants. I am not saying Dixie would do this but some other touch up artist made a mockery of a pic of my Gran a few years ago.

After the old dear died my mum decided to get some pics of my gran printed out and framed, gave each of us a copy.
It was a nice pic of my gran holding my mum when she was a wee baby, out on the coast somewhere.
Well, the pics hung proudly on our walls until a friend of my sister spotted that there were little faces drawn on some of the stones in the background, very small mind, but once you know they are there the pic was ruined.

I would not let anyone touch up my gran again.

my girlfriends thinking of doing a bit of modelling and i have took a few reasonable pictures( about 30) some topless, i trust if you got your hands on them they would be safe, could maybe do with some light work on them but they arent the finished article just yet. as i say its just basically to give publishers a good first impression. anyway , depending on how many offers she gets(we have had a few) we are considering and i mean only considering nude shots. would love to be able to find someone trustworthy and you seem to have a good rep ,can you give me any idea of cost and what you can do for us, thanks very much
