Post by WilBert »

Thinking of making a collage of Photos and get it printed on a canvas using the deal murf found.
customised-calendars-canvas-prints-mugs ... 07108.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Anyone know of a good (free) program to produce some quality collages from photos?

Thanks. My version didn't have the options, I installed the latest and it won't do it either.

You need to download the add in I think.
To download a plug-in, click Create, More tools, ‘Download more photo tools’. The Plug-ins gallery will open in your browser. Click on the auto collage tool and choose Download now.

I had a play and it looks OK although it needs a minimum of 7 photos.

Photoscape has the ability to create simple photo collages but not overlapping or angled pictures.

Have you tried online options - This one came up in a google search: http://www.fotor.com/features/collage.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

You can try one of these
http://en.softonic.com/s/auto-collage-2012" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think the Microsoft one is the one that comes with the Photo Gallery in Windows 7

Just tried photocollage max - it was good but the free version is very basic, will keep it as it has some decent templates for cards and the like.

The problem with web based applications is that my upload speed is pitiful.

Trying photoscape and autocollage now, thanks both.

Gimp is free and will do what you need but it doesn't do autocollage and will have a steep learning curve

Tried Auto Collage and Photoscape. Auto Collage couldn't handle more than a handful of photos. Photoscape, as you pointed out Eagle, does not give much variety but looks like a valuable tool to keep.

Will have a look at gimp after and delete my history promptly :D Might have to just do it using powerpoint and group the photos manually. More personal that way anyway I suppose.

That first one had watermarks without payment too Surprised. Have a clear winner though - PhotoScrape is miles ahead of the others in terms of flexibility and ease of use. Thanks both for youe help.

My laptop's overheating now trying clean all the malware that came with some of the programs I tried.
