FISO Photo competition. Week 2
Ok.
After input by members, the topic for this week's competition is TRANSPORT.
Planes, Trains, Automobiles. (also bikes, donkeys, sledges, hovercraft, buses, piggyback monkeys etc)
Use your imagination.
Get out there and annoy your fellow man. BUT, if you have a decent pic on your hard drive (of your own making) you can use that. But please state that is an archive photo.
Rules.
Only one: It has to be taken on an I phone, mobile phone or somesuchsortofthing. You need to be able to phone your wife up at the same time to tell her why you've been arrested at the tram stop.
I don't think these devices give exif data, but we'll all know if you've taken it on your brand new DSLR.
We're looking in this case for artistry, not technical competence (welcome back Murf)
Side rule. If you have a picture of you holding a fish on a boat and you're baldy. It doesn't count as transport Groomyd.
Unlimited entries.

Re: FISO Photo competition. Week 2
I'd like to share this photo here not because it's such a brilliant photo, more because it's the best ever mode of Transport I ever used to get to a pub.
This yacht is the one Mrs.Ironfist and I hired 6 years ago when we travelled through Ireland. Arriving in the village of Killaloe I 'parked' the yacht right next to the pub, gone up for food & drinks and then brought more rounds to enjoy on deck. Beatiful evening, great atmosphere and all thanks to the best way I ever used transport to get to a pub!
Not really a decent competition entry, but a fun thing to remember...

Is that a yacht?
I've hired a barge a couple of times on canals - it's great

Err... yes, it's a yacht. A small one, but very nice. It had a nice bedroom, shower, kitchen, two decks... 10 days on the Shannon river... one of the most relaxing holidays I ever took.Groomyd wrote:Is that a yacht?

And it was raining.
I only say that because it was Ireland, so it had to be.
Nice way to visit the pub though.

My son in the foreground.
The Ben-my-Chree coming into Douglas.
Behind that, the Tower of Refuge built by William Hillary before he founded the RNLI.
Behind that. Where I live.
Not a competition entry because I took it with a camera.

I think it's a firefox addon. The IPhone puts GPS data into the photo and the Exif viewer extracts that. I guess if you save the photo it can be opened in Photo Elements or something similar and then view the exif from there but exifveiwer lets you do it from the browser. That is only oif the exif data is there of course. Sometimes saving to the web strips it out.

BMW produced this car in team colours to honour Bayern Munich being in the Champions League Final 2012 - shame they lost
Golf buggy at Wentworth on the 18th fairway
Although I like this one better - notice the buggy 'facebombing' the picture on the left hand side
