This is an album picture from about 3 months ago... it's my son with one of his favourite food stuffs - Cherry Tomatoes.

Sorry mate. People stopped posting so I thought there was little interest.Ironfist wrote:Has this competition come to an early death?
Tell you what. I'm going to judge this one after dinner and then set up another.
Anyone want to volunteer a category?

Re: FISO Photo competition. Week 1
Ok. First prize goes to the Nuthatch by Spencer4. Taken with a 200mm lens, no tripod at an aperture of about 7 judging by the bokeh.
2nd place goes to Moist von Lipwig’s composition of a beer festival. Very close to most of our hearts and the converging lines just draw you in.
Third place goes to Ironfist for his work entitled ‘excessive’. Don’t know why, but I like to look at this. His other picture of his son might have been up there but was too damn cute.
AKNel1 is a fine cake maker but his photo of such was off centre and lacking in contrast, focus and skill.
Wilberts price reduction was clever but would have been better if he’d gone back an hour later and got it for a quid.
Murf’s entry was rather like his TFF teams. An afterthought without imagination or effort.
My entries were obviously the best but I’m magnanimous as a judge.

Superb picture. A very deserving winner.

Nah. People will just upload their best ever photo.Groomyd wrote:I thought justbtaken with a mobile? Could be anything?
Like a big fish glowing in the reflection of a bald bonce.
We need to get people out there snapping.
How about a sporting scene? (apart from fishing)
Or a Tree?
Or a self portrait. Pouting. Like them 'my ex girlfriend' pics (maybe not)
Or a night time shot (very difficult on a mobile I would think)

Re: FISO Photo competition. Week 1
That's harsh. Not on my TFF teams obviously but harsh to be called an afterthought when it was the first entry and taken especially for the competition. It didn't take much imagination admittedly but deserves special praise as it was snapped and uploaded within about 30 seconds of reading about the comp.sted wrote:Murf’s entry was rather like his TFF teams.
