Re: Update FISO Login Bookmark to https://
I have a few fiso bookmarks to fporums or topics of my interest, and they all begin straight with www
www.fiso.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=18
i.e. I don't include the htpp[s]:// part in the bookmark link
(actually that's not my own choice, but Chrome's -- I just click on the Add star...)
will they continue to work as such?
or will I have to explicitly add the https in them all?
I figure I'll soon find out

They will continue to work. What might not work is anyone using http for the page that they use to log in.MoSe wrote: ↑09 Jan 2019, 11:54 I have a few fiso bookmarks to fporums or topics of my interest, and they all begin straight with www

Re: Update FISO Login Bookmark to https://

Re: Update FISO Login Bookmark to https://
You could just put a redirect into the .htaccess file

Re: Update FISO Login Bookmark to https://
We've considered that but advice has been that using the .htaccess file for the redirect would slow down our Apache http server.
We've also considered doing a HTTP to HTTPS redirect via the httpd main server config file but we're cautious about it, especially for people using Tapatalk : they may need to change their Tapatalk properties to use https before we do that change or it could create infinite loops of redirects. At the moment there are issues for iPhone Tapatalk users which we need to resolve first and we're in discussion with Tapatalk.
