When people post links it appears to transition from this page in to the one in the link (rather than opening a new window for said link)?
Yes, very annoying.

When I click a link I want it in a new window (like it was before) please!

Yes, not too frequently but it does happen. Also appears to always do it straight after sending a PM

What about people posting emojis.

Ahhh... i thought it was happening whenever i switched network source (wifi -> 4G or vice versa). Not tested that theory, just happened to notice when I was away recently (often going from cottage wifi to 4G when we were out and about later in the day.

viewtopic.php?p=3088413#p3088413

Firefox on same phone is fine

Why!?
Because some time ago they were spamming the FPL forum with links to their website without being courteous and providing a link back. Have they done so now?

 No idea, but I used the phrase last night and noticed it was being automatically amended.

Edit: Their website has gone, the closest I could find was http://totalfpl.chatango.com/

While not bugs as such ...

Padding below quotes
When replying with a quote your text is butted right up to the bottom of the quote. Adding linefeeds doesn't work (presumably on purpose) so could we just add a little extra padding/margin after the quote.

Padding after images
When embedding images 2 images next to each other don't have a space between them (unless you add one yourself) but images put on top of each other do - can we remove the auto-padding from the bottom of [img] tags?

Just swap them over maybe :D

If you insert two blank lines after the quote, the post then displays a separating line (eg: like this one).

when on a keyboard (i.e. not from mobile) I often use the "hard space" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-breaking_space for formatting purposes
it can be entered with Alt+255 (from the numpad)

e.g. for numbers right-alignment in lists, withour having to recur to the horrible [code clause
  8
  9
10
11
(two hard spaces have more or less the width of a digit)

if inserted alone on a line prevents the whole line to be collapsed, thanks to its

Non-collapsing behavior

or it can even just be inserted before and after the  []  on their same line, as in the above quote box

of course I know it's easier and faster to just press Enter twice :D, although it lends me a feeling of not having full control, to entrust my formatting to the quirky and changing behavior of the BBcode ;)

Logging in

Post by unc.si. »

Just recently I seem to have to log back in every time I use my phone to access FISO.
Has something changed? Doesn't happen on laptop and never used to have this issue.

No biggie in the scheme of things but a bit of a pain, esp with my fat fingers and a small phone screen

I've been having the same problem for the past couple of months, only with my phone.
It's most frustrating especially after I've typed a long post, clicked submit, and then I have to log in and I've lost the post.

Yes - kept an eye on this today and going from 4G to wifi is fine, but going from wifi to 4G means logging in again.
Also going from 4G in different countries means logging back in again.

Is it happening just when you swap from wifi to 4G and vice versa?

99% of the time I have to re-log in with my phone, unless I've already logged in with it and not used a PC/ laptop/ tab in the meantime.

Miss the blobby

Post by SamD »

1. Since the revamp a few months ago, an unwanted blob appears before the first line when the 'LIST' function is invoked; eg:
  • a
    b
    c
    d
2. The BB Code tag to strikethrough text - [s] or [strike] - doesn't seem to be available.
Could this possibly be added, please?
