FISO Doubles League!
There are enough of us playing this game now and I think it would be a great idea to set up a league on FISO. We all choose a partner and then play another FISO pairing in a round robin style league system.
When playing, we have home and away set ups and the home team invites the away team etc.
The home team can choose the format and map.
Sign up below if interested. (and then organise a partner).

Re: FISO Doubles League!
Just having the same partner will get stale.
We should develop the idea of a round robin style league with say 3 games with a partner then move on.
A league table could be set up per player with 1 point for a win for each player (I volunter w1lbert for setting up league table)

Sounds good
Does that mean we don't needto pick partners now?

I'll take part
Might be difficult for non premium members to have enough game slots?

Re: FISO Doubles League!
I am leaning towards the switching of partners to stop things getting stale.
I wonder if it might be worth doing in a seeding sort of way?
Chewie seeded 1
Wilbert possibly seeded 2
Me seeded right down at the bottom.
Either seeded partnerships, or a handicap system?

Do we need seedings with rotating partners?

Don't think that will be needed.Richt wrote:I am leaning towards the switching of partners to stop things getting stale.

Re: FISO Doubles League!
Ok I am fed up of ' sneaking around in the fiso forums' talking about conquer club. I have applied to set up a user group that can have its own thread on cc that only the members can see.
Ok with everyone?

Re: FISO Doubles League!
This will always be the first place many of us will look to for info, games to fill, etc., no harm in having a user group on CC but presumably if there's anything you wish to discuss their mods can still see it, if you want discussions hidden here then I can ask admin to make this one hidden rather than open? Access only by request which will only be to known FISO members.chewie1 wrote:Ok I am fed up of ' sneaking around in the fiso forums' talking about conquer club. Not a member here, and don't want to be - as I know I will play too much and will just encourage me to spend more time online, when I need to cut back again....

Every one only plays in 1 game per league round, is how I envisaged it happening.WilBert wrote: Might be difficult for non premium members to have enough game slots?

Re: FISO Doubles League!
We have 10 atm, another 2 would make a good dozen, with 3 games in each round.
If we played three simultaneous games with the same partner, then two games we would have played every other pair.....

Re: FISO Doubles League!
I'll join (mangoosian).
Random rotating round robin partners sounds good.
Can I suggest that we agree the pool of maps up front as well so we all can have an idea of what we are playing on and don't get surprised by a map we have never seen before. Or we could do Random?
