Runaround - week 2 Question/Pit Status

Post by CanaryYellow »

Everyone has been credited with one get out of pit free card. You will get one in week one of each new month. These will roll over into future months should you not use them or accumulate more.

THIS WEEKS QUESTION

Which nation or nations will accumulate the most gold medals at the winter olympics

A Germany
B Norway
C USA + GBR (gold meadals combined)
D Russia + Sweden (gold medals combined)

Bonus Question. How many medals will Germany, Norway and the United states get altogether. Anyone guessing within 2 of the correct total will be credited an extra pit pass.

Week 3 sport: Football (FA CUP)
Week 4 sport: Football (Carling Cup Final)

To give you some clue, here is the 2002 medal table

Pos Country Gold Silver Bronze Total
1 Norway 13 5 7 25
2 Germany 12 16 8 36
3 United States 10 13 11 34
4 Canada 7 3 7 17
5 Russia 5 4 4 13

FUTURE EVENTS RULING

We will not know the outcome to this question until the 26th FEB. This situation will occur during the year on events that run over more than one week (the world cup for example). Therefore this will become a NO PIT question. Should you get the multiple choice part wrong, you will not be going into the pit.

Those in the pit can choose to simply sit this question out, and play again in week 3, or use their pass to have a go at what is effectivly a free question. Either way everyone will be free to play in week 3.

In the pit this week (You cannot enter this week unless you choose to use your "get out of the pit free card"). In future these will be referred to as pitpasses. Names in bold have a pitpass to use.

Entry deadline Midnight Friday 10th Feb.

Think I'll pass this week. Know nothing about Winter Sports and the medal table was so tight last time out that it would be a pure guess.
