Good meeting at Newbury today:

2.25 Sonevafushi - 10 pts win

A bit of a punt on:
4.05 Lord Raffles - 5pts e/w

I'd be interested in any 'experts' views on the big race - Justified / celtic son ? - I quite fancy Hors la loi ?

Don't know if you have seen the racing post web site this morning, but celtic son is the 10th most chosen horse in the competition, with 19,400 selections, although with two losses so far this may change.

I did, but unfortunately I have to keep him in because I have to lose Kicking Kick and Inglis Drever from my list. Oh well.

On another point, I think I may have stumbled upon a way to rise steadilly up the table! I'm not sure I'm going to bet it yet, but I saw Law maker (3.50 Lingfield) in it's box outside my newsagent this morning. It's fate I tell ya...

Law Maker @ 14/1 in a 12 horse race, 8th favourite. (fav is 5/1 so no outstanding chances, got to be worth a shot)

It won Bunners.

and Mr Lip:

Bets must be made 20 minutes before the off. Okay new ruling on 20 min before the off:
Bets will be accepted only if another post is made to "lock-in" the first post. Obviously no edit allowed or bet is a loser (not void). The lock in must be made immediately following the selection post.

What shall we do here boys :?

D'oh

I never thought about that. I added the emoticons as the results came in without thinking about the implications of possible cheating.

IMO I should get no points for this month to ensure the integrity of the competition.
