Out of interest whats the theory behind not being able to take a price?

The prices change too quickly on the day to be able to monitor it. Ante-post carries the benefits of pre-guessing the odds but with the risk of a non-runner losing your bet.

If Old Vic in a non-runner today you'll get your money back, if you'd taken the 7/2 last night you'd lose your money if it doesn't run (and get worse odds, as it's now drifting on course).

I took 10/1 Redemption last night, this is now 8/1, so I'm laughing (untill it falls at the last again).
