The "Blackpool" Sweepstake Season 7: The Hull one

Following on from the success of the
2010/11 inaugral Blackpool sweepstake (won by saintmark with 39) which I foolishly described as "the first and probably only ever annual Blackpool Premier League sweepstake" and then
2011/12 "the Norwich City one" (won by Jimmy Tarbuck with a whopping 47) and then
2012/13 "the Southampton one" (won by AKNel1 with 41) and finally
2013/14 "the Crystal Palace one" (won by DrBunker with a semi-whopping 45)
2014/15 "the Burnley one" (won by bspittles with an underwhelming 33)
2014/15 "the Watford one" (won by Mo Bot with the highest entry of 43)

Still nobody with 2 titles.....

The "Blackpool" Sweepstake - Season 7 - The Hull One

We've already had Burnley and Boro were champions so, almost by default, I'm going with Hull who therefore get the traditional jinxing so they will stay up and miss out on those juicy parachute payments. Sorry.

Usual rules, just guess how many points Blackpool, sorry, I mean Norwich, sorry, I mean Southampton, sorry, I mean Palace, sorry, I mean Burnley, sorry, I mean Watford, sorry, I mean Hull will get in the league this year. Just copy the last post on the thread, guess how many points they will get in the season, add your guess to the list and we'll see who wins. One entry each, no copying, no edits, closest wins.

Form guide: average winning score = 41 and a bit

You are forgetting about the reverse curse of this sweepstake - only one score below 39 in 6 seasons (as are all 8 pickers to date).

In fact we have had all the odd numbers from 39 to 47 and a stray 33. Probably points to a 35 or 37.... or maybe 49.

If they hadn't pulled together and raised their game early on in response to the challenges they faced, a Derby could well have been on. Their lack of quality has really been found out now (not helped by numerous injuries up front, admittedly). The question is, are they in a position to invest significantly in January? If not then they might still struggle to get much above 20 points.

They do have decent fixtures - 5 home games out of which 2 are against bottom 2 teams. I think they will get 30 points at least.

And you did pick a crap team (no offence to Hull fans, just judging by their season), but other promoted team Middlesbrough have even less points so the end of the season will tell if it actually was the crappiest promoted team or not.
