Red Card Lottery 2016/17

Simple competition (for those that remember this one). Simply put your name against one of the Premier teams. Every time any player gets a red card (whether or not it is rescinded later), then you lose a life. After 3 lives, you're out.

I'll pick a team later.

Having a bit of a quandary over the rules which I blindly copied from a previous year.

Quandary 1 - if a red is rescinded in real life surely it should be rescinded in this game too? This hasn't happened yet so consider this rule changed.

Quandary 2 - what happens if a ban (effectively a red card) is imposed by the FA after the match? This has happened with Aguero for his elbow incident. Surely a retrospective red card should be added here too?

(However, the Twitter incident with Grey, even though it may lead to a ban is not related to an on-the-pitch incident so should not be applied. )

Am I over thinking a simple game?

Depends if you want to play it ''based on FPL points'' or not - in FPL if somebody gets a red card and it is rescinded afterwards, they don't give you the points you lost for red card back. Also, you didn't get minus points for Aguero.

If you want it to be played based on appearances instead of points, then I agree with all what you said (including that Gray situation shouldn't be a red card in this game as it didn't happen on the pitch)

I think a red card is a red card but it can be rescinded (and not count) but a belated ban (Aguero) shouldn't count.

Logically a bit odd but that 'feels' right to me.....

Having said that, and with experience of running and competing in lots if games on here, the rules are set in the first post and the best thing to do is stick to them whatever.

I think it should be played as fpl "saw it" on the day. Anything else and it's likely to get messy as more scenarios unfurl
