With the snake draft though, you then get another pick 3 rounds later straight away. So 2nd pick in the second round if you like, then 9th then 2nd and so on...1st pick is great, but you don't get another one for 19 rounds!
got #10, how lucky
this means best 9 players will be already picked before I can choose mine
true I get 2 b2b, but then sit out for another 18 turns

thanx SB for the 90 secs :)
as I suspected I cant scroll the Statistics list and can only view the first 14 rows (per Position if I filter it)
Cant filter per club either, which was instead possible in the Rank Players window
I will have to write part of the name, then wait the search function finds it, before picking it
I'll have to work with the personal ranking, and the draft queue, to make things viable
I was thinking to rely on the autopick to avoid holding the draft... But after it fills the active slots, I risk to find 6 F in my reserves!
Your 1st and 2nd picks have to match whoever has 1st and 2nd picks of the person 1st in the draft, you have 10th and 11th pick he has 1st and 20th. In some ways it sort of evens itself out depending on whether you pick the right players of course.

And useful to have as trade bait to get what you need from other players who are short on forwards......

Can we change the formation (assume not?) and how do we (or don't we) fill the last two reserve spots in our roster?

Everyone enjoy that?

Go to the player list and pick 2 more from anywhere. Waiver wire will apply until the date it shows you..

yes it's rather confusimg
my roster says:
2 reserve spots available
then on a different row
2 inj res spots available

so, HOW MANY available spots do I have in total???
4? 2 normal AND 2 injured???
Or just 2 in total?
that is, to get to 17 I must move 2 to the injured spots, and then get two healthy ones

I went to the Players List, filtered All Available, all are WW, none FA
I clicked on the Mid I needed, and it brought me to the Claim/Drop page saying I had to Drop one of my 15

so it looks like I actually have NO NORMAL reserve spot available, only the two injured ones.... :x

damn US sportshabits! :P

You have 2 reserve spots. You can fill these now. You go to the player list, pick who you want and submit the claim. You don't have to drop anybody.

You ALSO have 2 injured reserve slots. These can ONLY be used under the following circumstances......

If up to 2 of your players are injured and out for a period of time, you don't have to drop them to get a replacement. You can get your free agent and move your injured player to an injured reserve. This means you can keep a star until he's fit again. However, when fit again, and you bring him off the injured reserve list, you must drop a player so you only have 17 active again. The game will determine if your player is eligible for an ir slot, by attaching a little Red Cross flag to him. If you have 2 or more out injured for a lengthy period, tough! You can only keep 2 on the injured reserve list. To replace any more, means dropping them or somebody else

It will make sense as you go along, I promise.

Thanx SB
from the small phone interface, I misunderstood that I had to Claim AND Drop
Instead I see now that I can Claim and/OR Drop

I was also trying to figure out how to move Forster to the Injured Reserve spot, but couldn't find where to click...

How often can we swap players? Is it a free-for-all, or once a month (for example)?

I really enjoyed it until my WiFi decided to die on me, hence 6 forwards in my squad.
It's all a learning curve for us all and I expect come the end of the season we'll be seasoned pros.

Is there an option for a additional monthly draft? That might be fairer to people who don't visit all the time.

We now have a separate group for the keeper, with an additional two reserve slots and two more injury slots. Any ideas?

Can Reserves on the bench enter as subs during or at the end of the Gameweek?
Or do we have to play just with our Active GK-4-4-2 XI?
If one of our Active players fails to play this GW he gets 0p, that's it, no-subs-game?

Do Reserves just sit there doing nothing, waiting that we make them Active bringing them in the XI in future GW?

I don't think they're "additional"
GK are listed in a separate table at the bottom, and the free slots are listed in both tables, but they're the same slots.
I had decided to "waste" a pick by getting a Reserve GK (Forster), and it still say "2 Reserve slots" in both tables, despite I already have 1 Reserve GK

OH, WOW! FORMATIONS!

Just saw an email Fantrax message from the Commissioner received yesterday evening:
Sport Billy (owner of FortressSt Andrews) wrote:I've set minimum and maximum starters you need to have at each position.
  • Goalkeepers, min 1 max 1.
    Defenders, min 3 max 5.
    Midfielders, min 3 max 5.
    Forwards min 1 max 3.

That should allow you to play 3-5-2 / 4-5-1 / 4-4-2 / 3-4-3 / 5-4-1 / 5-3-2.
Should give some flexibility. Only just found the option, sorry!
of course we all Drafted with a fixed 4-4-2 in mind... hehe
luckily I'm #1 in the WW order for now, I just have to wait that my 5th mid gets processed tomorrow morning

I notice some teams have their reserve slots filled. I've been to the list of free agents, claimed one and tried to action the transaction but get a message saying I've already got eleven active players.

Can anyone provide a step by step guide on how to get my last two players?

That was what I was getting during the draft last night, thus ending up with a few dodgy auto picks. Looks like you have to move players to reserves to make a space before you can draft.

There's a double arrow icon alongside the players - click that and then click the equivalent alongside one of the reserve spots I think?

Thanks!

Sorted now, the problem is that I couldn't switch my regular roster into the reserve slots using an iPad. This might be a problem as the season progresses...!
