I was just about to start a 'Who is worth following in twitter..?' thread, but thought I'd do a quick search first, and hey presto...

So, it has been a while since anyone posted. I'm just in the process of setting up an account but not sure who to 'follow'

No 'celebs' for me (ie Katie Price), more interested in sportsmen (and women), politicians and comedians.

Recommendations welcome..

I used to tend to follow a lot of the golfers and cricketers the cricketers can be quiet fun on tour but now I only tend to use twitter for banter with friends if you set it up right you can choose which tweets come through as a text message.

I actually joined up yesterday and am absolutely hooked!

Seeing as we have the same interests Ton, look me up and just see who I'm following - @gazwood100

(matt Kendrick is excellent for ITK Villa news and rumours)

its a spoof account for Allardyce. Hilarious if you have a tiny mind with a juvenile sense of humour. I love it.

Some fisoers on Twitter:

Richt @richt73
Nedved @Paul_Wheatcroft
em9999 @em_9999
deppy @deppy38
llama @llamabaker
paisleypark @paisleypark2009
darbyand @DarbyAndrew
chrismar @beansport

twitter-t98627.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
post1726320.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

@rickygervais is decent (probably avoid if you are a theist)
@domjoly used to be quite good as he'd get into spats with people… but seems to have eased off on that front.
@twoptwips - like Viz top tips
@OptaJoe - lots of useless football stats
@TheBig_Sam - pure comedy gold

Personally i just tend to follow a small number of journalists (largely Liverpool following ones).

Although these arent specifically liverpool biased ones:
Henry Winter @henrywinter
Oliver Kay @oliverkaytimes
Jonathan Wilson @jonawils
Guillem Balague @guillemBalague

Thought for a second that the French had (finally?) got something right. It appears it isn't the hashtag they despise but its name. Je desole.

Unc - one for you and your cycling buddies perhaps….

Martin Wefail @wefail

This chap said "good luck finding me on foreign plates" after knocking a cyclist over in Hale. Please help find him.

Seems that [footballer name removed:-)] is prime suspect.

Police won't be interested though.

I find this type of thing totally counter-productive.

Why should one chap's word be believed over another's without any evidence at all. Why should the driver (in this case) have his image, car plates etc splashed all over the internet just on the say-so of someone with a camera?

If I dislike someone there's nothing to prevent me sticking his picture on twitter saying he ate a swan, killed a dog, punched a child etc and the world will go bonkers condemning him.

Looking at the evidence in the picture here, I see a driver who's stopped, talked to the cyclist who seems calm, unhurt and his bike looks undamaged.
