Just came across these so thought I'd add them to this slightly aged thread:

How do people like this get a job, or get into pubs, or get a girlfriend? I know I'm prejudging a bit here but who wouldn't?? You must have a screw loose to do that to yourself.

You meet loads of birds who love tattoos on men. Mind you, they're generally covered in them themselves, so it's just a case of like attracting like.

One of my exes was a tattoo nut, hers were alright, but it seems one leads to another, and another....

Tattoo's aren't a craze or a recent thing - they were invented in the mid/late 90's when celtic bands and slag tags were all the rage.

Like most things some look good some and some look bad, but when your 60 they invariably look cack. Example - I found Cheryl Cole more attractive when she was a bit fatter and didnt have the MAAAASSSSSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVEEEEEE thigh tattoo. I like her in hot pants aged 20 but when I would never have wanted to see her in hot pants at 60 regardless of the tattoos or not, FFS who wants to see a 60 year olds gash !?!

PM me if you do

Tattoos have been around for as long as mankind has, or at least, for the past 10,000 years or so.

When I were a lad the only men who had tattoos were sailors and navvies. What has changed recently is the number of women who have tattoos, and some of them quite feminine and tasteful (the tattoos, that is, not necessarily the women  )

Interesting observation on Wiki: A study of "at-risk" (as defined by school absenteeism and truancy) adolescent girls showed a positive correlation between body-modification and negative feelings towards the body and self-esteem; however, also illustrating a strong motive for body-modification as a search for "self", and attempts to attain mastery and control over the body in an age of increasing alienation

Here is an example...

I'm only getting a 3/4 sleeve (work restrictions), but will update with pics as i do it!! :D

Hi Ton

Are you definitely sure you want to do both arms ? It's just that if you've got any last minute doubts, there's no turning back once you've got that baby on your arm.

If it is what you want, then good luck with it. Looks mighty painful, though.

Fair do's.

If you want to mention something about your life, how about the fact that I whooped you in Murf's 2009 F1 Predictions ? :D Perhaps a picture of Peter Enckleman somewhere too :P

I was gobsmacked to read in today's paper that you can have Tatoo's removed by laser on the NHS. Last year 2,276 laser removals were carried out at a cost to the NHS of £684,000. This figure does not include the £50,000 it costs to buy Laser Removal Equipment and the cost of maintenance. On top of this there is also the expensive psychological referrals needed to decide if a patient qualifies for treatment.

The really galling thing is that most of those receiving the NHS treatment will be the fools who had Tatoo's carried out on their necks and faces because they are now causing them psycholigical problems.

WHERE'S GROOMY

Yes that does read 2011, I bet he wishes he had waited a bit longer, or at least left the year blank.

Jimmy Carr : - when I was young I used to go to the circus to see the fat tattooed lady. Now they're everywhere.
About right I reckon.

You look like a knob with all those tatts to be fair.(no offence intended- just bringing home to you some home truths)

I hope you never have to go for an important interview or meeting with a short sleeve shirt on.

I know it's not to everyones taste. Thankfully it's a personal thing, it means a lot to me, and i like it. Obviously i'd like other people to like it, but couldn't care less if they don't (which doesn't make me look like a knob, it makes me a little different!).

And regarding interviews, i would never go for a job that couldn't accept me for being me. But if i did, it's only a 3/4 sleeve so it's very rarely on show.

Each to their own of course.

Re jobs - it is not necessarily how your boss/job views you but how they think their clients will view you (be that professionals, restaurant customers or little old ladies whose doorbell you might be ringing etc). Such is the way of the world.
