Thought this for a long time. A cooking show where the ingredients are standard fare available in any supermarket rather than only from trendy markets on the 3rd Monday in August
It's worse than that... A Pizza Express Pizza costs under a quid to make and how much do they charge?

Things to do post Sunday Roast....

Lasagne can be far cheaper than bung in the oven...
Its easy to do basic home cooking. A lasagne as you say, chicken and mushroom pie, a curry.
Ergh to last 2, surprised 😂 you didn't mention Fish Pie
Fish in a pie is a waste of fish.
And spuds.

Pastry’s insanely difficult, isn’t it? (never actually tried...)

Teaching people is one thing, but time’s the big problem. Unless we get Labour’s 32-hour week, people don’t have time to cook, it’s something for enthusiasts only. So people need ready-made stuff that is cheap and healthy.

No spuds in a chicken and mushroom pie.

People work longer hours than ever. There are no housewives/husbands these days. People don’t have time.

At its basic level its just flour, butter, salt and water.. When people say they dont have time its because, in general, they spend the time on laptops, smart phones and games consoles.

Or because they quite understandably don’t want to be slaving away in the kitchen for hours after a long day at work?

Pastry is crazy difficult and gross.

It lost it's benefit years ago with fridges....

No, but last time I was at the Rugby I saw a group of 18 stone lads tucking into pie barms on the way to the match.

Only in Wigan :D

They do do a good pie though. Galloways in town centre. About £1.50 for a meat and potato. None of your overpriced Pieminister rubbish :D

Two YouTube “celebrities” are headlining a pay-per-view boxing event on Sky.

This has no more place on a sports channel than Strictly Come Dancing does...

And quite right too. The ungreat unwashed have no place in such a Great British Institution. Does Dodi's dad still own it?
