Yet another scorcher today.
Went for a run at 9 and the heat was already unbearable.
Gardens are all light brown, tinderbox dry. Some of the trees seem to be shedding their leaves.
It's too uncomfortable to sit in. The pond is very low but I daren't top it up with tap water. Some of the rivers are looking very low and I guess the reservoirs too.
Windows open off a night but there's one pesky jay that squawks it's head off around half four every morning without fail
Oh for a drop of rain.
This heat.....

Re: This heat.....
We had lots of burst road pipes around here that went on spurting out gallons for quite a few days during the early part of the year and some localised flooding as well. If only we had stored it all in buckets rather than thinking that the water company's had enough to last.
What is strange is that I always look forward to summer and then when the weather is like this end up staying in the shade or indoors.

But it is coming home
Agree I think I can put up with another week, and then it needs to calm down. The weather I mean, not the World Cup.
