the guy currently leading the monthly is also 223rd overall and has used none of his thirty transfers. He is still carrying Bent so presumably oblivious to how well he is doing.

Must have totally forgot about this game.

Suarez let me down this weekend, hopefully he makes it up against Everton.

Knew I should have kept faith with RVP.

Shame one of the ones who did made sure it was Gerrard.

Was sorely tempted with the Nani > Gerrard switch but am hoping with Wolves next up for United Nani will be back and score some points. So far the transfer to Nani has been disastrous - either bringing back Rooney or opting for Young would have resulted in roughly a 20 point differential.

I have six changes left and just need to get through this month and then might try and close the gap to first.

Need something special though

Needed to go with Suarez today over RVP.

Need something special now as first place are over 60 in front.

Got away with a silly mistake this week when opting for Suarez as captain at the weekend in a period where Pool only had one game. Actually did me a favour as chances are I would have gone Bale who had the 2 games, but was actually out scored by Suarez.
Lots of Rooney captains this week in the top few which may give some a chance to gain places.

See you are still going well Ashers. Good luck for the run in, although the Bear is looking ominous.

Reckon you could be making a last minute dash towards the winning line.

I went back and forward about putting Tevez in as captain.

In the end went with RVP and brought in Siggy instead.

Getting rid of Rooney or RVP would have been a big risk Ashers - especially with so few transfers left and not knowing whether Tevez will play every game once the idiot comes back (although after his hat trick I'm guessing he will). Mind you something different may well be the way to go with no place money up for grabs in this game.

Looks like keeping Rooney was the right choice in the end.

Will need something special to catch first though.

Going to use my last two changes this weekend and go for two players that I hope will fly during the run in.

My chance in this went the minute I switched Rooney for Walters  in a vain attempt to win the January motm.
It's incredible really. Of the top 10 only 3 have captained players playing tonight and one of those bought in and captained Ireland - who is not even in the Villa squad today. You'd have thought those vying for a £3000 prize would have read the rules. :?

Think I blew mine when I rashly took the (c) off RVP to give it to Silva, so I could transfer RVP oput after his match. That was the week he got 44pts if you captained him!

I also missed a free 6 pts from not captianing Enrique, and goodness knows how many over Xmas when I got completely thrown by timings of gameweeks and being all over the country. Ifs and buts....

I blew my chances when I failed to read the rules about midweek captains.

Thanks

I learnt so much from this game and was hit by using to many early changes and then did not have the fire power to close the gap.

Bring on 2012/2013
