2 positive Coronavirus tests in the latest round of PL tests.

One is an unidentified Norwich player (they just played Spurs in a friendly). The other not identified at all.

BOURNEMOUTH

Winger Ryan Fraser has declined a contract extension at Bournemouth to cover the remainder of the season.
It means he will not be eligible for matches after 30 June.
Simon Francis, Andrew Surman, Artur Boruc and Charlie Daniels have agreed short-term extensions to cover the Cherries' remaining nine games.
[Harry Wilson also exteded his loan with them]

SHEFF U

The Sheffield United defender Jack O’Connell is out of tonight’s Premier League match against Aston Villa with a knee injury, the first league minutes that the Englishman has missed all season.

The centre-back has been a key part of Chris Wilder’s successful newly-promoted team in the Premier League and has been looked at as a potential England call-up for Gareth Southgate. It is anticipated that the setback will not prevent him from playing a role later on in the season and in the past he has recovered swiftly from injuries.

Now cleared, but still in isolation so will miss next match (at least).

Why would someone cleared have to be in isolation?

He was tested and had to isolate for 7 days. Maybe the subsequent negative tests allow that to change?

Norwich announced that defensive trio Grant Hanley, Christoph Zimmermann and Sam Byram will all miss the remainder of the Premier League season.
- with Hanley due to have surgery on a hamstring injury picked up in the weekend friendly against Spurs and Zimmermann (back and hamstring) and Byram (hamstring) also out of the reckoning.

Marco Stiepermann will also not be involved after the midfielder tested positive for coronavirus earlier this week. Timm Klose will be available but is unlikely to start.

Arsenal's 1st half injury problems continue with Bernd Leno stretchered off with what sounds like a very bad knee injury.

No new thread for 20/21?

Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez and defender Aymeric Laporte have tested positive for Covid-19.

Algeria's Mahrez, 29, and Frenchman Laporte, 24, will not train with their team-mates while they self isolate [10 days] in line with UK government and Premier League rules.

With such a short gap between the end of 19/20 season and the 20/21 season let's just keep this topic going.

To keep an eye on the latest injury news then this page shows the injury status changes from FPL:
https://www.fiso.co.uk/injurytable.php - just click on 'Team' to sort per club instead of the default 'date'.

The 'FISO Injury News' link under the Fantasy Football drop-down links at the top of each fiso page can be useful. This brings up a search page of all recent usage of injury terms on the fiso fantasy football forums.

Some snippets from press conferences (all copy/pasted from BBC)

CHE - Manager Frank Lampard confirmed that Christian Pulisic, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech are all unavailable for Sunday’s game.

MC - Firstly some team news from Pep Guardiola, and striker Sergio Aguero "didn't make one training session with us".
After both were in quarantine, winger Riyad Mahrez has been back training this week so is available, but defender Aymeric Laporte is not ready as his first day back was today.
And after Phil Foden was sent home early from England's Nations League camp for breaching Covid protocols, Guardiola said the young midfielder "is well" before adding: "The time I saw him, the three or four days we were together, he knows he made a mistake and that’s all."

BRI - "Adam Lallana joins the group today [Friday] for training - that's really positive," he said.
"He's been great since he's been with us. We'll make a decision about that as late as we can to give him the time he needs.
"Ben White is the same. We want to give him the best possible chance of playing this weekend. He'll be training today and we'll make a decision on Ben as well."

MU - first-choice goalkeeper? "I'm not going to tell you"
Mason Greenwood will be involved in their first Premier League game of the season. "Yeah, he's part of the group," he said. "With the testing and Covid protocols, he trained by himself for a little while and as soon as possible he's a big part of this group.
