Nick Pope has been taken to hospital with a serious-looking shoulder injury suffered against Aberdeen.
He was replaced by former Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, with Tom Heaton missing the game due to injury.
"Nick has a shoulder injury," he added. "We'll have to wait and see but it looks to be more serious, rather than not serious."

Jose Mourinho has revealed that Antonio Valencia will miss the start of the new Premier League season.
Valencia has subsequently left the USA tour with a torn calf that will see him the season-opener against Leicester on August 10.
Diogo Dalot, signed from Porto for £19m this summer, will not be fit until September as he recovers from a knee injury.

A heads up on KDB:
Manchester City's Kevin de Bruyne is having tests on a right knee injury suffered in training on Wednesday.
City said the extent of the injury suffered by the 27-year-old Belgium midfielder is "not yet known".

Demarai Gray suffered a leg injury against Wolves in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
"He will be out of the squad for between three and six weeks, then we shall see if he can recover quick," said Leicester manager Claude Puel.
"It's not a serious injury, he needs rest and rehabilitation. He is not available for us for three weeks, minimum."

Petr Cech subbed just before half time with hamstring injury after taking a goal kick and immediately replaced by Bernd Leno. Expected out for 2 to 3 weeks.

Aguero carrying a heel problem meaning not 100% fit and substitution after about 60 minutes yesterday was planned due to his injury. Lucky for Aguero owners he scored as Jesus was waiting on the sidelines for a stoppage in play.

Mo Salah update from Liverpool Echo quoting Daily Express quoting Egypt coach Hany Ramzy
"The initial diagnosis confirmed that the injury is a muscle strain and there is no possibility of muscle rupture. The player needs to have radiation to determine the injury and the duration of his absence. It is not a big injury, we support him with all our energy and we hope he will return without being affected by an injury as soon as possible.”

Did you see how he went down. Doesn't look good. Annoying. Looks like a move to mane if he's out. Can't have 12.9 on the bench
Patricio could be injured too. He's been left out of squad due to a ' physical complaint' . According to some article in Portuguese that was posted on ffs

This report says maybe two weeks for Salah, VvD injured with Holland but no more details than that, and Mane has broke a thumb and likely to miss out this weekend.

In case anyone missed it, Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is expected to be out until December with a hamstring injury.

Liverpool Football Club [website] can confirm Sadio Mane today underwent a procedure on a hand injury sustained while on international duty with Senegal.
The surgery, conducted at a north-west hospital and supervised by club medics, was successful.
Mane’s recovery will be monitored over the next couple of days ahead of the Reds’ return to action at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Re: EPL injuries, suspensions 2018/19 - NO DISCUSSION
Jurgen Klopp: “I understand that you all want to know it but I never get any information on injuries from other teams! So why should we give it out there to the world?"
Sadio Mane underwent surgery on a hand injury sustained on international duty with Senegal, while Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk each missed their countries’ second match of the double-header, and Naby Keita suffered a hamstring strain during Guinea’s game on Tuesday afternoon.
So... fair enough Jurgen but what can you tell us .....“One-and-a-half weeks ago everybody was quite happy or satisfied with the situation; one-and-a-half weeks later, we miss a few players. That’s the situation, we cannot change it. At the end, there will be a really strong side wearing a Liverpool shirt going to Huddersfield and then we will see what we can get there.”
“We will try really hard that everybody is available at the weekend; we will probably fail with one or two but we will try everything that they will be on the pitch or available at least. Until then, you have to wait.”
Meanwhile Lallana is "100% back"
LFC linky
EDIT - Liverpool Echo reckon Van Dijk and Salah have been seen training and should be OK. Mane (in a cast?) and Milner (limped off last game) are possibles but Keita is out. Van Dijk only missing the second Holland game as a precaution, because of protecting his rib.

I have Mane, Zaha and Frazer all 75% likely to play with a lousy bench. Any latest news? not easy to get up to the minute info this side of the pond. Probably Mane won't play since Liverpool have a fairly easy game so might be worth a 4 point hit.

Klopp told his pre-match press conference at Melwood: “[Keita and Henderson] will not work out for tomorrow, for sure not. Both are in a good way but will not be ready for then.
"I think that’s it pretty much. The rest – apart from Ox and Rhian – should be available.”
